famoustitles
f'ing terrible. PSU is terrible Just incredible the amount of effort it took to lose that game. 3 errors in 2 innings And how with an 0-2 count do you let them hit a double to the wall. Luensmann has terrible control Edited May 19, 2017 by nphuskers12 Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
Erstad's had some bad losses the last few years, but this is inarguably the worst. Unacceptable. Quote Link to comment

Pasadena Husker
we'll see how this team takes this horrible loss. wouldn't surprise me if they pack it in. several of them have the draft coming-up as well as summer league teams to get to. schools out. no reason to hang around. Quote Link to comment

The fact you say it wouldn't surprise you if they pack it in also upsets me. Quote Link to comment

Unacceptable. while it is ultimately does fall on Erstad, the chubbs at first base certainly had a hand (or lack of hands) in it Miller has made a lot of plays this year defensively that were harder than the ones he botched today. And Altavilla's error was definitely unexpected. Seems likely the pressure of winning the Big 10 is too much, and that's a little bit sad, because this conference, this year, is not all that great. ColoradoHusk
Yes this loss sucks, but some of you are acting like the baseball team killed your dog. There are still 2 games to finish out the season and the postseason to follow. Go ahead and quit following the team if you want. 2 Quote Link to comment

This is basically the equivalent of the football team losing to Purdue two years ago, except there aren't any injury excuses, and it's year 6 of the Erstad era so there's no "buy-in" excuse, either. This isn't "just baseball" when it keeps happening, and keeps happening against teams at or near the bottom of the conference (Rutgers and Northwestern last year.) At some point, it'd be kind of nice to win this mediocre conference because we were actually, consistently good enough, not because we lucked out with team A losing to team X enough times. And lastly, it's a message board, so. . .it's a good place to dump the frustration of such a hideous choke job. 1 Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
This is what happens when you play to "take care of business" as I heard preseason by one of the players, they play tight and not to lose, thus booting routine ground balls and finding other ways to lose games Quote Link to comment
