ColoradoHusk
Curious, why is the higher seed not the "home" team? If you are the home team in the opener, you are usually the visitor in the 2nd game. Or, they did a coin flip before the game. Quote Link to comment

Thanks I know the CWS tries to have teams flip from being home and away for the 2nd games, and then after that, they do coin flip well before the games to decide home team. Quote Link to comment

RedTexan
Yesterday a Maryland player was hit by pitch and called back because the umpire decided he didn't make enough of an effort to get out of the way of the pitch. Jake Adams didn't look like he made any effort to get out of the way of that pitch. Probably better that he did get to first because they didn't score, but it's the principle. The Maryland coach got thrown out of the game for arguing. Quote Link to comment

The Maryland coach got thrown out of the game for arguing. In college baseball, the hitters rarely try to get out of the way, just so the hitter can reach base. They are told to not get out of the way by the coaches. It's even trickled down to the high school and youth baseball level. There are countless coaches who get upset with their players when they move out of the way from being hit by the pitch. They constantly want the kids to "wear it". Frankly, I think it's dumb.
