Roxy15
Soak 1 pkg. of Pinto Beans in a bowl of water overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, dice a purple onion, 1 garlic bunch, 1 green pepper and put in a bowl. Drain the pinto beans and rinse. Put the pinto beans in a large stockpot and cover with water; and inch above the pinto beans. Bring the pinto beans to a boil. Turn the heat down to #2 setting-(low setting.) Add the veggies in the bowl, 1 pkg. of McCormick Chili Seasoning, 2 T. cumin, 2 T. Chili Powder, a ham hock and some salt and pepper, to taste; stir. Can add some hot sauce too if you want spicy. Cook on #2 setting-(low setting)-all day until dinnertime. Stir off and on while it cooks. 3 Quote Link to comment
