Because if he believes it, that probably means Thomas, Gorsuch & Roberts believe it as well... Really have to hope Kennedy takes a stand. Gerrymandering is out of control. 5 Link to comment

They may just believe that political gerrymandering is inadequately addressed by the Constitution and therefore it is outside their realm to render a judgment on its legality. Such is the plight of the conservatives on the court being so tightly bound to the Constitution.I think the situation just sucks. Link to comment
zoogs Posted June 20, 2017 Share Posted June 20, 2017 I find it somewhat hard to say this is nonpartisan. One topic at issue was whether to stay the lower court's ruling (stay = leave the current districts in place). 5 Justices chose to grant the stay, and 4 were against this. No prizes for anyone who can guess who were the Five and who were the Four. Link to comment
