Defense actually kept the points down today

 

We are tied for first in our division 

 

Rutgers is our next opponent? 

 

OK I'm out of bright spots, anyone else catch any today amongst all of the negativity?

When NIU needed points, they gashed our defense.  It's still crap.

Crap or not our D still only held them to 1 score. At the end of the day that's good work and we are looking for positives in this thread.

Unfortunately, not much to hold on to at the moment   Just that sweet, sweet B1G revenue that will be coming in and hopefully allowing us to make more necessary moves.

Yeah and we paid NIU $820,000 to embarrass us at home.

Which is why more changes are necessary, probably from the top on down, good thing we have that $$$$ rolling in.

This may be true but I have a terrible illness many of us here also have called Husker Fandom and it affects me in such a way I must at least try and search out the good. I can understand if it affects others differently.

I hope so man.  How long we wait will likely become the most intriguing aspect of the season, sadly enough.

It's a precarious situation, and I don't advocate just throwing money around but. . .if we play our cards right, IMO we can right the ship quicker than some think.  No reason to be this bad in a coach's third year, unless you hire a coach with an average w/l record.
