huskerfan92
Because Eichorst would've hired Charlie Weis. Now go Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
And be in the same position as Tennessee right now? No freaking thanks Edited November 30, 2017 by Rike Miley Quote Link to comment
NM11046
Yeah - cuz Riley had a very similar moral and criminal background to Schiano. WTH man? Quote Link to comment
Hans Gruber
If Nebraska protested the hire like Tennessee, then Barney Cotton would probably still be the head coach right now. I think things ultimately worked out for the best. Quote Link to comment

To be fair to Schiano,he has no criminal background, and the allegations of his moral background (there have been things about him being a jerk and such at Rutgers and in the NFL, but that's a different, unimportant story) are at best an inconsistent 3rd party acount of what a 2nd party told them, when the 2nd party said that never happened. 4 hours ago, knapplc said: You should have to be a member for 30 days and have at least 100 posts before you can start a thread. brophog
Tennessee fans are talking of doing something similar if Doeren is hired. Interesting. I don't think we've ever seen fans use social media in a coaching search like this before. Quote Link to comment

Huskinator
This post is terrible..... If we had hired someone else and they would have won 8 games a year, and Scott had this great year, we wouldn’t be in a position to hire him back. Mid we’d hired Scott there’s no telling what would happen. Could be great could do badly. It’s all a butterfly effect. It happened for a reason. That and never go full Tennessee. We don’t riot, we don’t throw fits. We are grown ups who have intelligence. Act like it for Christ sake. Quote Link to comment
louisianared
I think that becasue as Nebraska fans we were willing to give the guy a chance. We did and it sadly didn't work out. Definitely makes the Nebraska job more desirable as I believe it showed we are a reasonable fan base unlike Tennessee which has apparantly gone bats#!t insane. 1 Quote Link to comment

Big Red Commie
Ans: YES! The People always have the power, if they would just use it-any Commie worth her salt knows this. Better idea than protesting is to not go to the games but let your money do the talking. THEY listen to Money or lack thereof. Edited November 30, 2017 by Big Red Commie Quote Link to comment

Scarlet Overkill
On second thought, I think we should have done the protest thing. It's definitely worked in Tennessee's favor. Also think we should have fired Riley a month before it happened. That, too, worked in teams' favor. </sarcasm> Quote Link to comment
