the.sock.puppet
Now that we's all happy bout' Coach Frost and lookin' at the new Future Huskers bein' offered, it's good timin' to talk little bit about the past. The Source tellin' The Sock that The Ginger Assassin was the fella pullin' all the puppet strings for Husker Football. This ain't news. But what The Sock thought interestin' was that The Ginger Assassin controllin' who "qualified" to become a Husker. The Ginger Assassin weren't thinkin' that a fancy pants B1G program should be takin' no JUCO players to become Future Huskers. It weren't that Coach Riley or Coach Pelini didn't want them, it's that The Ginger Assassin weren't going to let them in cause he didn't think they was proper for a B1G school. Now that The Ginger Assassin moved on, the JUCO card seemin' to be back in the deck and it looks like it might be a favorite card for Coach Frost. The Sock thinks that clears up lots of stuff that didn't make no sense before. 6 Quote Link to comment

Danimal
Say what you will about Bo and Riley but both would have won more games with a good AD. Screw SE and screw Perlman for handpicking him. 1 Quote Link to comment

That was Bo's last two seasons - how many more games would he realistically have won? 1? 2? Quote Link to comment

Well 1-2 more wins would have been 10-11 wins and maybe allowed his teams to win the Division and maybe a Conference Title. Not to mention he would of had a more robust recruiting operation to help ensure future success. Quote Link to comment

Bo had already shown what kind of coach he was in the 5 years under TO. SE should have fired BP a year earlier. But regardless, Bo was an ass, kept getting blown out, and deserved to be fired. SE was a terrible AD and was meddling with Riley's teams and also deserved to be fired. Let's all move on. Quote Link to comment
Beach Chair QB
Thanks for the info Sock. Now it’s more clear why he hired Riley, he was easy to push around. GBR! Quote Link to comment
