grandpasknee
It would be nice if we were beating teams like that handily by then. 1 Quote Link to comment

Aside from being a nice "warm up" game and hopefully an easy W on the schedule (that will probably hurt you more than help in the CFP), what's the point of scheduling games like these? The SEC does just fine with scheduling games like these, and only having 8 conference games. Edited December 13, 2017 by ColoradoHusk 5 Quote Link to comment

Beating Mercer is better than losing to Oklahoma. 16 Quote Link to comment

Personally I think it's BS that they don't get penalized by the committee for scheduling them at the end of the season but that's another conversation. 2 minutes ago, brophog said: Beating Mercer is better than losing to Oklahoma. True. I guess that would be the reason but sucks as a fan for most teams 1 Quote Link to comment

I don't disagree. I also think the SEC and ACC need to have 9 conference games to put them on par with the other Power 5 conferences. 3 Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
I'd just rather play all FBS teams when possible. If you somehow drop one of these games its more forgivable to lose to a Memphis/Cincinnati/UCF than it is to lose to North Dakota and North Dakota State. Not that the Huskers should worry about losing these games but you never know (see NIU this past year). 1 Quote Link to comment
