Vince R.
I imagine within the next two days, Nebraska will essentially give him an ultimatum. It's too late in the process to be up in the air. By Monday or Tuesday, there will be movement one way or another. 1 Quote Link to comment

HuskermanMike
Would hate to lose this kid because of time, but what is the difference between committing now or in a couple days. Sit down and make a decision. He has no more visits so he has ample time to make that decision. Hopefully, he is ours in the next couple of days so we have our O line spot down. Quote Link to comment

Well at this point in the cycle, every second matters. In one day, so much can change (Maurice Washington is a prime example). These players are being recruited by other schools who present different advantages. If you have to meet a number no matter what, then you have to get that commit. Because your plan b is a plan a for someone else. Wait around too long and you might lose both. Edited January 28, 2018 by Vince R. 3 Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
I just hope we can get this kid, perhaps it's just been so long since we've had a stud lineman I'm always looking for who it might be. Quote Link to comment

If our potential recruits weren't good and a fit for our system we wouldn't be recruiting them. But because they are good other teams want them as well. Recruiting is like putting a puzzle together. You start with the easier corner pieces (often Nebraska and other local kids or sons of former players) then start fitting in the more difficult pieces. When you get to the last 3 or 4 you just hope you haven't dropped one somewhere and lose out. Quote Link to comment

Bell and Mcdonald are both OG and Hall projects more as an OT. I may be wrong on one of those as I am doing it from memory. So who would our tackles be on the roster if we were to get Bell on board? BIG ERN
Possibly missed the boat on Bell with the new OT offer tonight Quote Link to comment
Scarlet Overkill
That's disappointing. Quote Link to comment

Huskerzoo
Alright folks. I'm branching this conversation about our current line play out to another branch. It should be up shortly. Conversation can be continued now in the Husker Football Forum. I think it's an interesting dialogue. Quote Link to comment

They have stated that they see bell playing left guard. Are we just taking the best available linemen or looking for a guard and a tackle Quote Link to comment

The staff see Bell as someone who can play any position on the line. Edited January 30, 2018 by caveman99 Quote Link to comment
