Does Zatechka mention this in his podcasts? I might have to start listening to them if he’s doling out inside info like this. Quote Link to comment

If this rumor is true and in time some of the truth will come out, I am more convinced that Mike Riley, Shaun Eichorst and Perlmann were here to sabotage this program. I can almost understand an admin not realizing what it takes to have a winning program. For a long time head coach and an AD making over 1 mil to make some of the decisions they made, could not have been worse if they were trying to blow it up. I'm sure Texas was involved somewhere! Not trying to divert the thread. I have to wonder who Gates has talked to about his value to the NFL after the last two years. Has he been talking to the aquarium guy or the cable guy? I wouldn't necessarily throw Riley into that mix as complicit; he was hired to be a Yes Man, and not much else. Perlman and Eichorst certainly wanted to mold the program in a certain way; it says a lot that there are also rumors out there that Eichorst wanted Diaco to succeed/replace Riley. broganreynik
I can see it now, the Browns will trade down and stockpile draft picks for the 2039 draft. ”With the 29th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, The Cleveland Browns select Nick Turnstiles, University of Nebraska.” Quote Link to comment

LumberJackSker
A change of coaching might do him some good. A coaching staff that wont let him slack off and maybe a move inside to guard like the ravens did with alex lewis might light a spark and get him back to his freshman year level. If not it will all work it self out and he wont make a roster. Quote Link to comment

macroboy
I agree with a previous poster. He might just be tired of coaching changes. I could see where he would feel like this is not a very stable football environment. Time to move on Quote Link to comment
