Pay close attention to the Shea Patterson saga at Michigan; if he gets eligible for next year, Dixon could as well.

I’d honestly be somewhat surprised if the NCAA lets any Ole Miss underclassman transfer play this fall.  When Ole Miss was hit with sanctions it was ruled any player who wouldn’t get the opportunity to play in a bowl for their career could transfer with immediate eligibility.  The NCAA is a strange bunch so who knows, but I’m not holding my breath.

Pretty sure he’ll play a Shaquem Griffin role here.

Dixon says as much in the Rivals article that @FaithfulHusker posted a bit ago (no paywall). It'll be an interesting fit.

Will Honas, Breon Dixon, Avery Roberts, Mohamed Barry, Guy Thomas, Andrew Ward, Quayshon Alexander, Ben Stille, and Pernell Jefferson.

Hopefully this group can quickly become one of the strengths of this team.

You forgot Ty Ferguson.

Stille, Honas, Berry and Ferguson will start, IMO. Bring Thomas, Dixon and Roberts in on passing/pass rush downs.

I have not heard any news about him in a few months. Has the new staff been in contact with him?

Not sure on coach contact - Owen wore our gear to his most recent camp a week ago.

Its getting harder and harder to stay calm anymore since HC Frost and company showed up. I can see how people get so involved in recruiting. I still smh how negative the Pelini recruiting story went and how impossible it was to get top recruits to Lincoln. He had many of us resolved to the fact. Guess maybe it was something else holding us back!

That's a good group, but I'll take Luke Gifford over Ferguson.

I’m seeing that Dixon (5’11 205lbs according to his Ole Miss bio, and listed as a DB) is a more of a LB/nickel hybrid, more than a true LB. I’m thinking maybe like Hagg in the Pelini Peso role.

Why is everyone forgetting Gifford?

I have no idea why I forgot him; he's our best returning LB.

I was thinking the same thing.

Welcome to Huskerville Breon!

Ya know, with all the "Tiger-nation", and "Bronco-country", etc., Huskerville sounds a lot more appropriate for the type of folks that are in Nebraska.
