Friday Night Lights 2018

Recommended Posts

I was just about to ask if anyone had heard when they were going to do any camps. We are looking to plan a vacation around the camp dates.

Only thing I have found so far is a coaches clinic.

1st weekend: Higher numbers. Mainly guys trying to earn offer or walk on offer.

2nd weekend: Bigger names, but less quantity. Staff looking to close/put us in driver seat. Might host a BBQ event to go with the camp.

Thanks Dilly Dilly.  Had a great Visit this morning at Concordia.  Enjoyed some honest Abe’s burgers for dinner.  Now we are relaxing getting ready for tomorrow night.

"A good crowd on a hot night: The Memorial Stadium crowd on Friday wasn’t like last year’s 6,000-plus, but an estimated 2,200 or so braved the heat to see the new staff in action."

A bit surprised for 2,200 as an attendance turnout.  It would be nice to see 10,000+ at these events.  I'm curious if there is more done to help increase participation by the fans.

I'm betting next Friday will draw a lot more, since some higher profile kids will be there.

Not from Friday Night Lights but just sticking this here. It's from the June 11th camp, made by a parent of one of the attendees. There's a little speech by Frost at 9:45 about keeping the GPA high, and about how the coaches will look at their social media before considering recruiting them.

I didn't even know it was open for spectators.  I always just figured it was players and guests.  Is it free?  I'd definitely go.

I don't know what they do for advertising to fans, obviously not enough.

Believe he’s a long snapper walk on offer.

Surprised we haven't seen more confirmations for this weekend yet.

Maybe the gurus are working on a list and will release all at once.

Zander Gray- RB Omaha, NE

Caden Johnson- DE Wahoo, NE

Dylan Kautz- RB Norfolk, NE

Desmond Bland- OL Arizona Western C.C.

Jackson Hannah- LB Nashville, TN

Luke McCaffrey- QB  Highlands Ranch, CO

Rashee Rice- WR North Richland Hills, TX

Athan Kaliakmanis- QB Antioch, Illinois

Dino Kalialmanis- ATH Antioch, Illinois

Aidan Cullen- DE Monument, Colorado

Jonathan Alexander- S Kilgore J.C.-immediately eligible and we should offer him imo.

Bolded names are currently committed to Nebraska.

Newsome not coming anymore, instead, he will visit Michigan State.

Also not sure if Mycah Pittman and others are coming or not as a coach of his alluded to in April/May in a tweet.

Jonathan Alexander told Nebraska coaches that if they offer him, he will commit. They are looking at his for OLB, and he is an immediate contributor (referring to his eligibility status, not necessarily his potential...though you would hope both).

I’ve already told them if I get one, I’m coming
