Most Rewatchable Movies

Recommended Posts

Shawshank Redemption is the winner, hands down.  How many of us own the movie on DVD, yet never pop it in because if you scroll through TV and it's on....you watch it regardless of where it's at?

My other personal favorite rewatches, I'll be adding to this I'm sure and many will hate this list:

Fight Club

The Big Lebowski

Terminator 2

Donnie Darko

Butterfly Effect

Basic

The Dark Knight

Empire Strikes Back

Revenge of the Sitb

Lots of good movies listed and I want to discuss one of my favorite genres, the caper/heist movie.  I love these types of movies.  I like the comic implausibility of them.  I bring this up because I was watching one of my favorites last night The Thomas Crown Affair.  I had to turn it off or I would have been up till midnight watching it.

Some of My favorites

Ocean's 11 and 12

The Italian Job

Entrapment

The Bank Job a good British made film supposedly based on fact.

The Score

Ocean's 11 is a good pick. I didn't like 12 much personally but 11 is a great rewatch.

I agree, it is not even close to as good, but it is way better than the 3rd one.

I love Beer Fest.  We used to have it DVR'd and I would watch it every now and then.  Just stupid fun.

I've never understood re-watching movies. You already know what's going to happen.....

Other than Christmas Vacation (TRADITION!), and cartoons my kids watch, I don't know that I've ever sat down and re-watched a movie.

Because re-watching an excellent movie is much better than watching a mediocre movie for the first time :dunno

Sure some movies don't lend themselves well to re-watching (who dunnits, mystery/suspense...) because you know what's coming but a well made action, comedy, drama, sci-fi.....why not.

Another terrible movie that I love watching whenever it is on....wait for it.....Starship Troopers.

IDK why but I love that movie.
