funhusker
Mods, I apologize if this thread is inappropriate. But due to a couple of recent threads being closed because of "divisiveness", I thought maybe we could have a thread illustrating how the Democratic and Republican Parties are both guilty of changing their stripes as situations change. There was recently a thread about the "intolerance of the left", this could be a home for those posts along with the "lack of morality from the 'religious right'". To start off: Trump sends reserve troops to the border.....AND http://thehill.com/opinion/immigration/382136-by-sending-national-guard-to-border-trump-follows-bush-obama Link to comment
funhusker
Please don't interpret posts to mean there is no room for rationale. I'm hoping there is No two situations are alike...but it may be murky! Link to comment
JJ Husker
An excerpt from that link... “The main criticism of Trump’s plan seems to be that it isn’t necessary in view of the fact that border crossings are at an historic low. In March 2018, Border Patrol agents only caught 37,393 immigrants attempting to cross the border.” 37,000 caught in one month seems like an awfully large number to me and begs the question, how many weren’t caught? If that is an historic low, maybe there is a larger problem than I thought there was. Link to comment
