With the recent coaching changes, it is imperative that Nebraska institutes a completely new football  recruiting system and philosophy. On the afternoon of September 17, 2016, in Iowa City, the legendary North Dakota State meet #11 Iowa.  The NDSU Defence was under the field direction of the brilliant All-American captain and middle-linebacker Nick DeLuca, formerly All Nebraska First Team and Super-State Team middle-linebacker of the State Champion Millard North High School of Omaha. The NDSU Offence was under the field direction of the equally brilliant captain and quarterback Eston Stick, formerly All Nebraska First Team and Super-State Team  quarterback of Creighton Prep High School of Omaha.

Iowa, of course, suffered a disastrous and humiliating defeat to NDSU, but later that Fall preceded to  beat Nebraska, as expected. The question that seemed to be completely oblivious to the football geniuses in Lincoln at the time, was what the hell were these two brilliant Omaha high school football players during at a university in Fargo, North Dakota? Is it possible that the whole recruiting system at Nebraska was a complete mess? Well, no one was prepared to face it two years ago, but maybe that will now change.

Bo dropped the ball on Phillips and DeLuca - Easton Stick wouldn't have played over Armstrong. Riley dropped the ball on Fant and Williams. At the end of the day Riley was 0-3 vs Iowa where Bo was 3-1. Riley could have had Alabama's recruiting classes and still failed to do anything

Riley did everything in his power to recruit Noah Fant to Nebraska. That ship already sailed by the time he got here, and that is squarely on Bo.

Like I said: he did everything in his power to get Fant to Lincoln. Fant wasn't biting.

Disagree. They originally wanted to play him at DE under Hughes (also our worst recruiter) where as he wanted to play TE. They finally told him he could play both it was too late and he was already slow played.

He then went on to have Iowa's single season receiving TD record for a TE...as a sophomore. D End huh? Well, you're fired.
