Weird how an FCS team makes the list in his final season 1 Quote Link to comment
irafreak
I also have to go with the monsoon in missouri. Sure it wasn't a huge national deal but for me it was the beginning of the upswing for pelini. A game they looked offensively inept for 3 quarters and then explode. Plus suh really started to get national love in that game. I know they were missing the weapons of the team that blasted us the year before, but it felt like such a positive step in the right direction and gave us an early lead to the championship game...if only our kickoff specialist hadn't choked.... 1 Quote Link to comment
TheSker
The monsoon in Missouri in '09 was my favorite too. I remember the power to the stadium going out not long before kickoff. And the chants of "Go Big Red" about halfway through the 4th quarter when a large part of the home crowd had vacated. 1 Quote Link to comment

I'd take the Pelini's passion over the Mike Riley blank stare at his feet with his hands in his pocket. 4 Quote Link to comment
Husker-Joe
My favorite win of the Pelini era (maybe not his best, but) was the 2014 win over Georgia in the Gator Bowl. When you live in the South, you are constantly hammered with SEC talk. The 99 yard Armstrong pass to Q was just fantastic. I can’t begin to tell you how satisfying that win was! 3 Quote Link to comment

We got a freak snowstorm, and we were without power for a week after. Our power went out during that game and I had to go out to my car and finish the game via radio. We've since installed a whole home generator because, it's just so uncool not to be able to see the Huskers play on tv. Oh, and having running water is nice, too. 1 Quote Link to comment

Honorable mention to 2013 win at the big house. One of the few times in Pelini's latter years where Nebraska overcame adversity, and didn't melt down. Yep. I was at the Oklahoma game in 2001 and 2009. I actually think 2009 was louder. 2009 gets the win because my wife went into labor with my kids right after the game! 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
I'll toss a vote to Clemson in the Gator Bowl. It wasn't peak Clemson yet, but it was a good win in a transition year. 2 Quote Link to comment

BP was always pretty good at getting his team ready for those games that they were not suppose to have a chance at winning. Quote Link to comment

Gave us some great pics, like the Suh-plex (crack!): And my old avatar: decided that i would rewatch this game after seeing your pictures. ZLee - woof. Crazy to think we actuallly won this game after seeing the first half (offensive) SS. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Scarlet Pimpernel
2008 Colorado gets my vote. The Henery FG followed by Suh's interception return was just plain awesome. 2 Quote Link to comment

It was a lot of fun and I was so full of hope. The first part of 2010 was great but the crash was horrible. It ended on a really promising note, but man that offense was hard to watch. Just went back to check: 25 points a game, 4.0 yards per carry and 6.8 yards per pass attempt. That was a grind. But people were tuning in just to watch Suh. One of the best individual efforts in the history of college defense. 1 Quote Link to comment
