ScottyIce
I sort of don’t want him fired now, because then the new year long conversation becomes who is the next HC at tOSU all season.... Quote Link to comment

More questionable behavior, at work, that Urban most likely knew about, and he still let it happen. Sex toys shipped to work, potential sex with staffers at work, and taking pictures of his privates at the flipping white house? If people honestly believe he knew nothing about any of this, when he claims to run the tightest of ships, then he should probably be let go for incompetent management alone as he would have absolutely no clue what was happening in his own building. So your assumming it’s true and it relates to domestic violence? I think it’s ugly all the way around Quote Link to comment

I think it’s ugly all the way around Domestic violence is the core of this issue but it isn't the only one. This is more poor behavior that Urban probably knew about, or should have, by someone he hired to lead young men. This shows lack of leadership by all involved if true, which it is very believable with all the evidence against Smith. Smith should have been let go for each of several things over several years. Continuing to employ him if any of it is known, is enough to seriously question/fire Meyer. Quote Link to comment

Pedro G
Brett McMurphy was asked today if he thinks UM will be fired or kept. He said he has “no idea.” The only thing, he said, that would surprise him is if UM receives no punishment, but it wouldn’t if UM was either fired or kept. So the bottom line is we don’t know. It looks like someone airing dirty laundry for revenge Then you needed to RTFA and the follow-up. Zach Smith was having intimate relations with a tOSU staff member while he was married--that's who the toys were for. The staffer was allegedly reassigned into another position at tOSU after the affair, and subsequent attempts by McMurphy to find out the employment status of the staffer that banged Zach Smith have met with conflicting information by tOSU. This shows: Someone within the tOSU coaching staff knew of the issue to where they reassigned (or possibly terminated?) the staffer, but still kept Zach Smith on the payroll. If the staff member that staffed Zach Smith's member was reassigned without tOSU's administration knowing why, or the reassignment/termination reason was listed as something other than having to deal with the inappropriate relationship, then this would imply that tOSU was covering this up as well, likely because of knowledge of the on-going issues between Zach Smith and his wife. Depending on how this was handled, this, too, could potentially be another Title IX violation for tOSU and Urban's staff. This isn't McMurphy airing dirty laundry--it's McMurphy showing there potentially is a pattern of deceit by tOSU management and leadership in covering for Zach Smith's personal failures, with the University and/or Coaching Staff being complicit. 6 Quote Link to comment

Bingo, except OSU fans have their blinders on and don't see the situation for what it really is. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Urban isn't going anywhere. 1 Quote Link to comment
nic
OSU has to be worried about what info McMurphy hasn't presented yet. My guess is that they say Urbs reported it but the title IX group they just fired dropped the ball. It's easy to blame the guys who are no longer there. McMurphy should find them and do some interviews to see if they knew. 1 Quote Link to comment
