And the misuse of seen and saw bugs me too. Don’t get me started on To-Too-Two....

I've had to bite my tongue many times when my best friend says " I seen Mr Smith yesterday."  But he is the same friend who pronounces aluminum as "Lunimun".  This reminds me to comment about those I have seen spell the word tongue as "tounge".

It's almost culture shock when i visit the Midwest now and see in the "Pop" aisle in groshery stores.  It's all soda out here in eastern PA.  I have a pretty bad addiction to pop, and it shocks people when I say, "I've never consumed a soda in my life" -- because i only drink pop.  Even tho, as the graphic above shows PA as a dual pop/soda state, i get laughed at when i say pop.

Totally depends where you are.

 

Tx - all soda/pop is called Coke

East coast all soda/pop is called Soda or tonic

NE - all soda is called pop

Not sure if this belongs here, but the word "combine" is pronounced the way you say it when two things are joined together unless you're talking about a piece of farm equipment.

Talking to a retired railroad buddy and he reminded me about how we pronounce Cairo, NE. It's  pronounced like Karo syrup, not like the city in Egypt.
