If this run defense is indeed as improved as the coaches are letting on, this is very possible. Yeah, it is doable for Dedrick. He has quietly done that but I think this staff will get the most out of him and we will see how good he actually is. More bold predictions Cam Taylor leads the team in interceptions this year. Carlos Davis leads the team in sacks. Nebraska forces Ohio State to punt on their first possession. Quote Link to comment

Coaches have mentioned him numerous times. I think this defense really favors him because he's so big but still so explosive that he can play just about anywhere. Guys like him that you can move a lot pre-snap allow you to screw with line calls without actually needing to bring extra players. He would be on my shortlist, though, of defensive players to really bust out. All that said, I'm kinda hoping you're wrong on this one simply because it's hard to generate a lot of sacks from his position. Quote Link to comment

Last one for now: Nebraska goes to a bowl game and plays Texas and has more fans and points than them. Quote Link to comment
Dansker
ADRIAN Martinez becomes the hottest true freshman QB in the NCAAFB 2018 season putting Nebraska smack dab into the conference championship game standing at 11-1 in a rematch against OSU with the winner likely in the CFB playoff. We will come up short... Then win our New Year's six bowl game finish 12-2 and 2019, all the talk is about how Nebraska is a preseason top 10 and one of the most dangerous teams heading into the '19 season. I think you missed my point...if a position that is hard to generate sacks is the leader, then that usually meant the other positions didn't generate someone competitive in that department. There are exceptions, of course. Suh put up 12 in 2009, and Crick had 9.5. Good targets to shoot for. Quote Link to comment

Also, if he does get let's say 4 sacks in four games more people might key on him in the future. Most of the sacks will come from other positions such as OLB rush specialists so I see what you mean. This D-Line is so talented and we will finally get to see it. Khalil Davis is one to watch for because he has been severely underutilized in my opinion. Others have been as well and it's nice that to have a deeper D-line than normal because you want fresh bodies ready to go at any time. Quote Link to comment

This is one area where there's no debate that Nebraska has far more talent than UCF did. Like a toy box for these coaches. 1 Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
Nebraska will win at least 9 games for the season, including CCG and playoffs. Why? Because last year we had one of the worst offensive schemes in college football, and I doubt any team had a worse defensive scheme. To pile on, it is my belief that MR and crew put in even less effort to prepare after SE was fired, and that spilled over to the players having a lack of effort. I think Bo could get us to 8 wins this year. SE, MR, Diaco and posse were that bad. Quote Link to comment
Hilltop
Our starting QB will be on the Heisman watch list for 2019. Our 2nd string will transfer and eventually play a game against us before his career is over. Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
I am predicting we finish 8-5 and win a bowl while everyone else in my family and friends are saying 4-8 or 5-7 at best! I am worried because most of my family are quite football wise although we often disagree, I know I am the one with the big glass of Kool Aid all the time. I cant even bear the thought of going through another year like last year. If Frost doesn't win more than he loses and do it with some kind of style and the clearly recognized "improvement" that we all crave, I am afraid we are destined to a life of football purgatory. Ugh. KingBlank
Ozigbo has the second most rushing yards on the team. Quote Link to comment
cheekygeek
Nebraska's offense will average 37 points per game (or better) in Year One. (Year 2 will be 42 points per game - or better.) The defense will add 4 or more TDs on the season. Scott Frost's Cornhuskers will face Chip Kelly's UCLA Bruins in a post-Christmas bowl game. Quote Link to comment
