Models coming into agreement, according to the latest Omaha NWS Forecast Discussion. Looks like the scenario I mentioned this morning is the likely one.

Quote

Just about all model suites have been depicting a cluster of
severe storms to develop along the KS/NE border region in central
NE by 22-24z, as an upper level wave moves out of the Rockies.
These storms should continue to move east northeast along the
surface trough and be into our western border southeast NE
counties by 00-01z, then move up the I-80 corridor through the
evening. Effective shear of 35-45 knots combined with strong
instability should be sufficient for a few storms to become severe
with hail 1-2", and 60+ mph winds. Timing these into the Lincoln
area perhaps 8-9pm, and Omaha 9-10pm as first guess. The stalled frontal
boundary is in the area, thus SPC has added a 2% probability of a
tornado along I-80. Unfortunately, models continue to suggest
that at least a couple more rounds of stronger storms are possible
tonight, with the possibility of 1-2" of rain, and likely
possibly more. While we can probably take that much rain, will
have to take a hard look if we need to consider the possibility of
a flash flood watch with the afternoon update.

This animation goes from 8 PM to 11 PM tonight. If correct, the precip would be hitting Lincoln in the 9 PM hour.

Looks like HEAVY rain to me. Conditions are BARELY into the Supercell Composite though (for Lincoln... more so to southeast of Lincoln) so I think hail is unlikely and hopefully that also means not a lot of cloud to ground lightning. I may be wishcasting instead of forecasting now...
