  1. Ideal situation IMO Hire Aranda Give MJ AHC/RC, Keep Applewhite RB, Whipple OC Give Busch DC title, but it will be Aranda's Defense. Go find a Special Teams Guru.
  2. I feel like there has been value added in the areas that were the most glaring. Special Teams and the hidden yardage game contributed greatly to 3-5 of the losses last year. WR play was up and down last year a couple of drops lead to the opponent getting extra possessions and in one score games all the possessions matter. I think we all felt that the 2021 was on the cusp of something big last year. I think we will be rewarded for not blowing it up and starting from scratch this year. 8 wins!
  3. No signing day for the portal and it's killing High School recruiting. The NCAA needs to do something with the Covid Year and the portal it's really out of control. Early signing kids get screwed when they show up in January and the school plucks a kid out of the portal.
  4. Most D1 assistants don't care about one and done they move all the time!
  5. If you fire him you would have started the process all over again. This coaches cycle will be crazy and Nebraska is not a tier 1 destination (right now) and several of those jobs are open. You aren't attracting people at a place that fired the last guy that had success (I'd take 9 wins and a temper), brought in one of there own and fired him too. Keep the guy that wants to do it and let him do it. The pay cut is one thing, but also on took it on the buyout. He found out in the P5 schools you must be more of a CEO unlike at UCF. Consistency is what made Nebraska a power house. Coaches with 20+ years on staff and in some cases 30+. If it doesn't happen next year then it's time to look elsewhere.
  6. AM is a tough athlete that should have a chance to come back. If he transfers he will be with new coaches anyway might as well do it where the Head Coach wants you and has shown faith in you. Without knowing who the new staff will be I can't imagine a better option that will be in the transfer portal for the 2022 season. Yes, there might be some that have a ton of future potential, but Frost can't bet on that he has to be all in for 2022.
  7. Can we at least count this cancelation toward the first half suspensions of our Defensive Players?
  8. It makes sense they worked together when Coach Frost was at KSU.
  9. This would be a good pickup! https://footballscoop.com/news/sources-sean-snyder-strong-candidate-to-join-nebraska-staff/
  10. I agree with discipline and ball security being a MAJOR issue. The talent gap can't be understated. Although, I feel like this staff is working hard to close that gap. Our Play makers are Freshmen, and Sophomores.
  11. I learned the time frame to build a program is much less in Group of 5 (AAC) versus Power 5 (B1G). The talent level is on the rise, but it takes time to close that gap versus established programs. The Gap was bigger than I had thought with the top 10 type programs.
  12. "Can't spell Citrus with out the UT." The ole ball coaches reference to the University of Tennessee
  13. I know they are just projections, but only one top 25 has ever played in this bowl game. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27462459/preseason-college-football-bowl-projections
