  1. Watch his hudl film from his junior year. He just looks like a tall, good athlete. He's not really a great football player. Standing straight up, letting guys get into his chest, giving up on blocks, not initiating contact, grabbing because his hips are in poor position. There are much better players on our list considering the numbers game.
  2. Works the same way with academic scholarship. We could get a really smart player in on an academic scholarship, but as soon as he hit the football field he would be a scholarship player on the 85.Are you 100% sure about that? Last I knew kids that come in on academic scholarships wouldn't count towards the limit. It's true. This is the reason that Todd Peterson couldn't take a Regents Scholarship. Otherwise people would just make up scholarships to exceed the 85 limit.
  3. They released the results from the 2014 Army Combine in San Antonio. This is the most accurate combines with electronic timing on everything. Here's the link. Results of guys we've offered DT Carlos Davis: 6'1.5" | 267 lbs | 4.96 forty | 4.37 shuttle | 32 inch vert DT Khalil Davis: 6'1.5" | 258 lbs | 4.90 forty | 4.45 shuttle | 33 inch vert OT Christian Pellage: 6'6.5" | 270 lbs | 5.47 forty | 4.71 shuttle | 31.5 inch vert S Kahlil Haughton: 6'0.5" | 174.5 lbs | scratch forty | 4.35 shuttle | 32.5 inch vert OT Andre James: 6'3.5" | 276 lbs | 5.60 forty | 4.81 shuttle | 23.5 inch vert WR Jaelan Austin: 6'0.5 | 183.5 lbs | 4.92 forty | 4.28 shuttle | 35.5 inch vert QB J.W. 4. Khalil Davis ran a stupid fast, electronically timed 4.90 at the US Army Combine while weighing 256 lbs. He was the third fastest guy over 200 lbs.
  5. I was looking at the results from the US Army Combine and it turns out that Carlos Davis actually ran a 4.96 electronic forty, which is absurdly fast for a 267 lbs guy in high school. To put it in perspective, there were only four guys faster (including his brother) that weighed over 200 lbs at the entire combine.
