  1. Lol. Bo is not going anywhere. Neither is his 9-3 staff. This is the new norm, get used to it. It will take consecutive losing seasons to fire Pelini.
  2. We beat them by more than FSU didDo you even rivalry game I was just messing around with that logic, OG, nothing more than that.No worries bro. The last time I was on a forum was Huskerpedia around the Solich firing. The level of butt hurt was DEFCON 4. I'm just feeling my way around, without being a douchebag.
  3. We beat them by more than FSU did Do you even rivalry game bro?
  4. But, by all means, hang a hat on our stellar performance against those MIGHTY Canes! They are a 6-5 powerhouse. Lol.
  5. It's both a talent gap and coaching gap. It's also a schematic fit gap. It's also that OSU's 3 deep is light years better than ours and so is their coach/assistants. Also, Miami is an abortion, much like our early schedule and is not a good measuring stick. Nor is OSU crapping the bed against the Hokeys in the rain; parity is the new reality; unless you're FSU trolling the ACC. You can't use either game as a measuring stick to establish a norm.
  6. In this particular comparison, I truly believe it boils down to identity, of which, NU has none. Rich-Rod knows what he wants his team to be, and he employs coordinators in that vein and recruits players to that strength. Much like KSU, OSU, Mizzou , Utah, ORE, etc... I have long said that this NU team has no identity, on offense or defense. Who are we? What stands out about this team or scheme to you? That is the first step; establishing who we are and who we want to be, the chips will fall after. This team continually strikes me as a Frankenstein unit, a hodgepodge of players suited for different schemes, yet asked to play--and excel in ours. It's odd. Maybe I'm off base, but my assessment of Pelini's tenure is...odd.
  7. Wall of text is large. However, the Wildcats had long been a competitive team, both in recruiting and in-game performance during the Dick Tomey and Larry Smith era's . Mackovic and Stoops as head coaches proved to be disastrous and both set the program back several years. As far as NU having a significant advantage in....anything.... Well, I would argue that point; specifically since we have not been relevant in the last 10+ years. The reality of Rich-Rods success likely boils down to better coordinators, better (scheme specific) recruiting and better/cohesive player development. I wouldn't say he's a better coach than Bo, just smarter, and one who knows who to surround himself with to succeed. Remember, at Michigan he was hamstrung with coordinators chosen by the AD ( at least a pool of candidates) that he could hire. At least that's the rumor.
  8. Although, I must admit...I like Pinkels offense. They seem to have an identity and move the ball on anybody. Even in their down games their offense seems to succeed. Yuck. Now I need listerine.
  9. Me either, hell, it took me 5 minutes to compose that post. Rest assured, Mizzou is not in a better place than we are. Hell, their division may even be worse than ours. With the exception of Georgia, that division is a dumpster fire. Bama will make them a meat puppet in the championship game.
  10. Mizzou has beaten 1 SEC team with a winning record in 2 seasons, that being Georgia in 2013. They played 1 current top 25 team this year, that also being Georgia and lost 34-0. Don't over-think it. Somehow I thought my first post would be different...
