  1. Interesting rumor to say the least. Who knows, maybe this is all a set up for Langsdorf the QB Whisperer to perform his magic. Hyperbole knows no bounds.
  2. This is correct, however Damon Benning is speculating there could be 3 more departures. And there's been whispers of a LB and OT coming in from JUCO and playing this Fall. Sounds like there is still some things in flux in terms of the final Fall roster. i know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a girl who says one will be Not sure if this was serious but I'm good friends with another Husker athlete (non-football player) who hangs out with Stanton. He said a week ago that Stanton is frustrated but not down. Didn't think he was giving much (if any) thought to transferring. How would he feel about a switch to LB'er? He looks more built to be a LB than a QB https://instagram.com/johnnystanton/
  3. I'll say it. These helmets are all abominations.
  4. Brett Favre is in a league all his own, throwing 336 all time interceptions (or 59 more than anyone else in history).
  5. Yeah, I can't wait for Smiling Mike to proffer that to the media. Even Eichorst's propaganda team couldn't spin that turd.
  6. Through these gates pass the greatest fans in college football.
  7. Ryker Fyfe earned a scholarship. It is not Ryker Fyfe's fault that Shawn Eichorst fired Pelini and hired Mike Riley who happens to run a different offensive system.
  8. Jim Delany disagrees with you. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/29/sports/colleges-shift-on-four-year-scholarships-reflects-players-growing-power.html "Earlier this month, the Big Ten announced that it would become the first conference to guarantee its athletic scholarships for four years, a change from the widely followed practice of offering a single-year scholarship that can be renewed. Effective immediately, the Big Ten will ensure that none of its recruited athletes — in any sport — can lose their financial aid because of injury, poor play or coaches’ judgment. Jim Delany, the league’s commissioner, said, “To make a four-year commitment and give student-athletes the security, it’s the right thing to do.”
  9. Ha ha! I think hell would freeze over before that happens. Why? MR didn't put him on scholly. He is going to probably be 5th string.... Because "nice" guys don't pull scholarships awarded to former Nebraska high school walk-ons. Period. If Riley's staff need to trim the roster, then they need to continue to work with LPD to raid the apartments of more players they want to run out of Lincoln.
  10. Bummer, I think. I'm hoping Fyfe isn't on scholarship at the very least. If they pull Fyfe's scholarship, the Riley honeymoon is officially over. At least in Grand Island.
  11. Mike Riley is "a breath of fresh air" Sounds like a commercial tag line for a feminine hygiene product. Or, "from WHYY in Philadelphia, I'm Terry Gross and this is..."
  12. I'd like to think this staff realizes the need to win now, and has recognized that they will need to tailor the offense to maximize the current QB talent on the roster. But based on the QB prospects being recruited, I think it's also safe to say Riley and Langsdorf are looking for dropback pocket passers consistent with their offensive history.
  13. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Johnny Stanton in his horsehead and showing everyone his transfer papers at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
  14. No thank you. I don't want Tim Beck's influence back in Lincoln.
