  1. I feel sorry for Mike Riley who has to clean up this "mess." He'll have to initiate further damage control with the returning players on the team. However, I think he's the right guy to do it from all that I've heard/read about him. I think we should feel lucky to have him in our corner at a time like this.

  3. Mike Riley just secured the commitments of 3 players tonight. Eric Lee Avery Anderson Stanley Morgan But yeah, he sucks.
  4. Is this for real? Your grading his "performance" with less than a week on the job? The guy won't coach a game for Nebraska for another 8+ months. But yeah, let's throw dirt on him right now. Unbelievable.
  5. Sean Callahan is saying that Banker is the new DC. Sean Callahan (@Sean_Callahan) tweeted at 9:41 PM on Mon, Dec 08, 2014: Those questioning the Mark Banker DC hire...he held Wisconsin 2012 offense to 7 points and 207 yards - 35 total rushing yards. 6. Thanks very much for your insight, RileyMan. It is much appreciated on this board. Quick question...and I apologize if it has been asked already. Did John Garrett (and Langsdorf before him) call any plays or did Riley call them all? I don't understand naming an OC if that person isn't going to call any plays. That person is just a glorified position coach.
  7. I like this hire more than any of the position coaches so far. Incredible experience. Love his style of coaching from what I saw in the video. Definitely an upgrade.
  8. Meh. He runs a pro-style offense. More meh. I was really, really hoping for Tressel. I'll hold out judgement, but I'm kinda bummed right now.
  9. What if they announce JT tomorrow today and wait until Sunday for Frost? That's a possibility, sure.
  10. If it's being announced tomorrow, it's not Frost. SE would have waited until after the PAC12 championship game to name Frost.
  11. Re-watched the "Youngstown Boys" 30 for 30 documentary last night (it's on Netflix for those who have it), and it re-emphasized my feeling that Tressel would be a great hire for NU. Proven winner. Great recruiter. Terrific sideline demeanor. And he's a teacher...not some hot head who acts like a child when he doesn't get his way. Sure, he has some skeletons in his closet, but so do a lot of other coaches. Having said that, I don't think he's interested in coaching again. I think he's where he wants to be right now (in Youngstown). But I hope I'm wrong.
  12. A response:@JimTressel5 Eichorst's living room. Cut the sh#t, Jim. Hahaha. I saw that. I chuckled.
  13. Tressel isn't on that plane. He just tweeted this a few minutes ago: https://twitter.com/JimTressel5/status/540308923753168896

    David Shaw

Agreed. He's always been my #1 choice as well, but so far I haven't heard his name mentioned much. His offensive philosophy (old school, power football) would fit in just perfect at NU. He'd recruit great out of California as well.
