  1. Great post. I totally agree. I hope we get put back on the map and win big games and National Championships. If Lee Corso is still around, I'l like to rub it in his face! He only and rarely says good things about the Huskers. (I had to throw that in!)
  2. She must be about 41 or started watching the Cornhuskers when she was 17 or 18. No I'm an oldie goldie, 51!
  3. Wow. I'm sorry Bo felt so under siege he responded in this way. If the players bought any of this garbage, the incoming staff has a lot of work to do. It's too bad that such a coaching talent as Pelini is, lacks so much in the "getting it" department. I compare this to the parting message and advice Muschamp had for his players. Look, not all coaching hires are going to make it big. But if you fail and get fired as a result, that's the way to go out -- having left a positive imprint on the team. Bo's now 2/2 in attempts to poison the well on his way out of Lincoln. Don't come back. I feel bad for his wife and especially his daughters. If they hear that tape, and the words, &*ssy and c&*t, I can't imagine how they would feel about that. If my husband, brother or dad used those words, I would be shocked and gravely disappointed. Sadly, I think we heard the real Bo. He didn't know he was being taped and just shared his heart. I feel sorry for him because I believe he is a sick man. I do not think he should even be coaching young men when he needs to grow up himself. I sure wish him and his family well. His family doesn't deserve the wrath that Bo's behaviors have brought on the negative repercussions and publicity Bo is getting. As a father of two daughters, and a husband, I'd never use those words PERSONALLY to disparage anyone, male or female. Those words just aren't in my vocab library (nor in my six shooter of profanity). And I agree that if his job is to mold the minds of young men, he's doing a bang up job on that one. But let's be real - the disparaging of women isn't coming just out the mouth of the former head football coach. Look at this commercial... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sGWCfDDXGE Or this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMhGSOk1mb4 It's a societal issue at this point. He's just not taking the proper stand on it. But, all of that being said - he's a former defensive coordinator and a head coach. He's gonna have language saltier than the normal person. I see your point too.

Bo's now 2/2 in attempts to poison the well on his way out of Lincoln. Don't come back. Pretty scary to know he is still a coach after reading that transcript. Much of what he says the players did not need to hear or know. He crossed the line. I think he needs anger management. SMH
  6. Are we going to have any players on the field? With all the injuries and possible sit outs because of drafts, it seems like we're losing a lot of players. Can someone help make sense of this for me?
  7. I read that board and boy most of them think Nebraska is done forever. Let them think that. I believe we live off of our 60+ and more years of tradition. I do believe we have to change with the times. With the option we have to incorporate the pass too. Our 2015 team and new HC and all the coaches will be imperative in what happens on the field. I see a come back. It won't happen overnight but we can be hopeful. False! Nebraska is NOT done forever.
  8. Yeah, In retrospect, I probably should have worded some of the options differently, such as saying "I'm all N! GBR!" kind of assumes blindly jumping on the bandwagon, when I assume most of us who are positive about the hire still share some of the reservations you mentioned... I think you get what I was trying for, though. How many posters are generally positive vs negative. I was also surprised to see the numbers. Adding the last two options you get about 84% generally positive. I'd say that's pretty decent after one week, given the circumstances. Welcome to the board, btw! There is some good discussion here, albeit a little argumentative in the past week. Stick around - it gets better. Thanks IA State Husker!
  9. I put acceptance. It's a done deal. I see the poll says 59.80 %. Now I know that is on the number of people that voted. I still say that's a pretty high number for all the negativity I've read on this board. You all have your opinions. Some I like and some I don't. ha ha
  10. Could we be talking about "identity"as in you "guys" that basically run the board.
  11. I like the thought of Stanton but have a gut feeling MR will give TA first chance and if he doesn't perform well put in Stanton. Unless practices go in a different way, maybe we'll see MR go with Stanton. Stanton has the physical toughness to run, a strong arm, and carries leadership qualities. He could get the job done being well-rounded. Don't think Armstrong will cut it, hope I'm wrong. Maybe with intensive coaching he can improve enough to stay at QB. I look for him to transfer or change positions...maybe slot back Boy I hope you are right. I am for TA starting. I think he'll stay if he gets to be starting QB. My guess is Riley will start him but again I hope I am wrong. I think Stanton has all it takes and should be given a chance. My impression of Riley is he will start whoever has the best chance to be a winner Good point. BTW, I don't mind you being a woman. Some of my favorite people are women Thanks. LOL. I hope I'm not hated by everyone. I'd have to scavenger through the threads or they talk about it in PMs. Ahh I'm not that interesting. Trust me.
