  1. They need to keep Adidas so Al stays employed here. Al's the Adidas rep, and a Dolphin fan, so he's one cool dude.
  2. Zac's season is over, and has been for a while. Don't let it fool you that he got into the game Friday and threw a couple of short passes. His injury to his throwing arm is legitimate, and he just got into the game to play his last snaps in the last Husker home game he'll ever get the chance to play in. Kudos to him for playing thru the pain. If people are concerned about "factual" evidence regarding Taylor and his teammates, you're not going to get it from the media because players aren't going to throw another member of the team under the bus. But within those closed doors, you'll find it very rare to find a single player that likes TM. The social awkwardness that surrounds him is disturbing, to say the least. Taylor is about Taylor, not the team, and that is one of his downfalls as the leader of the team. If Casey and Taylor decide to leave, it's their decision. Bo is the biggest proponent for Taylor that exists, and that's a pretty big person to have behind you. As fans, we all need to get behind our starter on Saturday (Taylor) and our back-up (Cody) and hope that Watson has a good enough gameplan to beat the Sooners and send us to Arizona in January.
  3. Agree 100%. It's all coach speak and misinformation. While I agree that I won't believe anything the staff says regarding injuries in the future, this is the best thing the staff can do. It does not allow an opposing team to game plan for a particular person. If A&M believes Tmart is healthy they'll obviously have someone from the scout team mirroring him. If he doesn't play and we change some sets, we may be able to catch them in something they haven't prepared for. It's basically a poker match, so why would we want to show our hand?
  4. Guys, we have to step it up (unfortunately I'm computarted and don't have time to contribute). Check out the Aggie link. They have some pretty good ones! (Corky...NO!) http://texags.com/main/forum.reply.asp?topic_id=1732157&page=1&forum_id=5
  5. I don't necessarily disagree with burning Quincy's redshirt. He was pretty solid in the fall and the coaches thought he'd be a good backup to Paul, Kinnie and McNeill. But when those three are ahead of you it's going to be tough to get some PT. His experience will pay off when he gets more opportunities next year. Agree with ESPY on the JUCO guys. You don't bring them in to sit. And Arod is going to be considered one of the best linemen we've had when his career is over, and getting him on the field early will pay off in the next 3 years in the Big 10. Our line will be a force in 3 years with Arod, Sirles, Qvale, Klachko, Moore, Reeves, Sterup, (Hobbi?). Don't dismiss Jay Guy, the kid has lost some of his baby fat and may make a nice back up on the D-line next year. Rome should also help out. Corey Cooper is another guy that could push for a starting role next year. He's quick, smart and most important of all, a VERY good tackler. Joshua Mitchell was the #1 CB the staff pursued, yet I don't know how he's progressing. It seems our DB's should be in very good shape in the next few years, though.
  6. You should try to find out where a location is that has a person check to make sure your child is strapped in safely. I deal with a lot of injured children because of car wrecks in my job and usually a big reason they're hurt is because they're not strapped in properly. That may be because the seat is messed up, but usually has to do with the way the seatbelt crosses over their chest and rests on their hips. I'm not sure where you're at, but you may want to call the non-emergency police or fire department, or check with your insurance agent. Having them strapped in right is much more important than the style of seat you use, IMO.
  7. yes, they are still for sale How can I contact you SEHusker? I know someone who's looking.
  8. Keystone Light. I had no idea back in college when I used to buy case bottles for $9.99 from Mums Liquor that I'd develop a taste for crappy beer...but I have, it's still cheap and accomplishes what I want it to accomplish.
  9. Please don't say Lord sealed the fate of Bohl. Bohl was unable to adjust. A close friend sat down with Watson one day and asked what he did to make that 62-36 debacle what it was. Watson said when he ran a guy in motion, he could pinpoint the defense we were running because one safety would come up near the line of scrimmage toward the motion guy and the other safety would move over into coverage, thus isolating him for the linebacker. He did this the 1st time (Chris Brown I think?) ran the counter right up the gut on us. CU came back on offense, lined up in a similar formation, ran a guy in motion, and guess what? Safety drops down, the other safety moves over, and bam...another freaking long run on the counter. Watson said he ran that play over and over, thinking that after the 1st half NU's defense would adjust, yet Bohl never did. Bohl sealed his own fate, not Jamaal Lord.
  10. The thing that bothers me is going on the road and playing OSU the week after the Texas game. Win or lose, this will be the peak emotional game of the season for NU. Last year after we beat Missouri, we seemed to take the next two weeks off. I just hope that doesn't happen again.
  11. Dammit, let's just stick with T-Magic. It's gotta make you think of that dumb-azz song that Oz sings in American Pie every time you hear it! "Do you believe in T-Magic?"
  12. There's a LOT more to the story than Lee being in the doghouse and Pelini having a grudge, but it's stuff that needs to stay within the program. The main factor in TM starting is that he BEAT OUT Lee on the field. Even though he's prone to making a few more mistakes, he has something Lee doesn't have with his ability to make something happen if the play breaks down. He's also not going to look for the ground when he sees contact coming. Pelini and his staff have expectations so much greater than fans, and bottom line is that they're going to do whatever they can to win games. MOST of them feel that Martinez starting gives the team the best chance to win.
  13. We can all quit guessing. Martinez will start tomorrow. Guaranteed.
  14. You Magic fans will be able to get your fill of him in quarter 1, and you Green fans will get your fill in quarter 2. Now you Lee fans..........
