  1. Sad thing is... we could have won this one! Fewer turnovers in first half. Half time adjustments and for gods sake put 8 in the box to stop the run sometimes!!! If Keller is hurt or footwork off... if we are blown out and game near over... put GANZ in ! If nothing else for a series. Hit Purify more! Lucky with nearly twice the receptions? We had some good drives that got us nothing. I think 8 in the box could have changed the whole momentum and our D would be less worn out. I liked seeing some young guys contributing.
  2. wouldnt charie be about the same age as mt rushmore by now???
  3. so nobody noticed??? I noticed Anthony Blue, Rickey Thenarse, & Blake Lawrence on D..... and Roy Helu Jr. & Keith Williams on O. IMHO, Williams & Lawrence seemed to be out-matched. Dilliard had a big impact on defense towards the end of the game. How were Blue and Helu? It sounds like some yng guys at least are getting gametime experience.
  4. What was different on D ? What adjustments were made from the 1st 2 games. I figured we'd do a major reshuffling of positions... did the new talented but less experienced guys see serious play time?? I missed the game.
  5. 588 yards 40 pts !!!!! Hmmm Using the Huskers as the yardstick... USC has met its match!
  6. the comments after the game always make sense as to why they beat us. But then if you just wait several games you will see some halfassed rival of theirs beat them. And then all these "Reasons" for getting bitchslapped don't seem to have prevented some other team from doing exactly what we decided was beyond our capabilities, at this stage of our development! We say we dont have the talent and in a month pineli sp? has them hurting opponents. We bring in new talent and then wont play them because we have this superduper complex 547 bells n whistles sytem they must master... and yet our running game is still simply "predictable"!! We say new guys cant start and then other teams find ways to make stars out of their new talent. And on and on.. so I wonder if simpler isn't better if simpler gets accomplished! Where is the KILLER / MAKE EM PAY for beating us defensive attitude??? So USC has killer receivers? Make them know that they may get the catch but the landing will be on our bayonnet ! If you are getting blown out anyway... send them home hurting! Not by dirty play but by vicious play! Seems to me we have way too much complexity and it kills our intensity!!!! And in a few weeks some B team will make USC sweat! But we will have the satisfaction of knowing we loose with superior complexity. So thats nice.
  7. I am going to rack up a record number of beers tonight. just practicing.
  8. flying home for it. Now if I can scalp a decent tx on a poor mans budget.
