None of the teams in the B12 this year are as good as some of the ones in years past. OU had quite a solid run as did UT with Young. NU had their years as well. Nobody with a Freshman QB was going to beat those teams. I don't see a dominant(how about kudos for proper spelling/context!) team in the B12 this year that we can't beat.

Going out on a limb here...but I guess for the same reasons Meyer was at Utah, Tressell in DII, Schiano at Rutgers, etc. Probably a better question is how do "bad coaches" end up at big time schools. People make selecting coaches out to be an over simplified process.

In 2001, CU ended up winning the Big 12 and playing in a BCS bowl. Some/many people believed they should have been playing Miami for the NC instead of us. Maybe Mizzou will prove me wrong, but I don't think they make a BCS game and won't even be mentioned in the same sentence as NC this year. Also, I don't think CU had the #93 ranked D either and only allowed us 6 points. In 03, KState won the Big 12 and played in a BCS bowl. Again, Mizzou might prove me wrong and win the Big 12 but at this point in time I'm willing to bet against it. KState in 03 made OU look foolish in the title game. Just because we made Mizzou look unbeatable doesn't mean they are. You can go on all you want about being broke for several years, but in the end we did not allow record points in one quarter on back to back weeks. Our D is the worst in 64 years. If we were broke in 2003, then what exactly do you call what we are now? Destroyed? If we were a car and were broke in 2003, then we need crushed, melted down, and recycled now! This guy sends one of these after every game. he is from Crete and has been anti-Cally/Pedey from the start. Kind of amusing, but mostly just insulting.
