  1. This just shows what a poor team he thinks he has, and thus shows what a poor coach he is from that perspective.
  2. The USC game definitely highlighted his inexperience and lack of size. I think Grixby was often in the right spot, but just couldn't make the play.
  3. Sorry to go a bit off subject, but Ive heard about Will Compton alot, who is he? Our new **** linebacker recruit. class of 2007? 08
  4. I still have flashbacks to that fourth down play when he stepped out of bounds well before the first down marker to end the game against So. Miss. I was dumbfounded, I had to look at my brother who was watching with me and say "did that just happen? We just lost on that play?" Definitely a good kid, just not cut out to be a QB. Or how about when he threw a screen pass to their DE. Or his multiple fumbles... Yeah, what nightmare of a season that turned out to be. It really takes a certain personality to play quarterback. Needles to say he didn't have it.
  5. As a response to the bulk of your original post, I will not disagree that I would like to see a more nasty defense that opposing teams fear. I think we are getting better athletes in his system. It seems like I heard somewhere that Cos has made some sort of change to his scheme, but I couldn't confirm where I heard that. So hopefully with the experience coming our defense will dictate how the opposing offense is doing their play calling.
  6. What if he is the best we've got (with injuries)? I won't argue that he's the weakest link out there. He's not a horrible DB from a technique view, but he's just way too undersized and gets man-handled. As far as experience, I'll disagree. I'd rather have a guy that knows where to be on a play then someone running around lost. If anything, the experienced guy will be in position to make the tackle. Playing DB is not all about physical ability. It's one of the harder positions to play. Agreed. Shanle was supposedly very physically gifted, but was often found out of postion. I will go with experience and physical ability as a bonus.
  7. Knowledgeable Mizzou fans on their message board huh? The biased ones that hate Nebraska and wouldn't mind starting rumors if it caused some heartburn for Husker fans?
  8. They beat 8th ranked Washington State 21-16. Still we were much better, crushing # 3 ranked Tennesee 42-17.
  9. Com'on, out with it. Who do you really root for on Saturdays during the Fall? I smell someone from the B12 south here
  10. That isn't true at all. Trick plays are part of football. It keeps teams honest and keeps the entertainment value up. Osborne even tried a trick play against Florida. Don't you remember LP trying to hit Reggie Baul in the endzone on a half back pass? I don't think we were desparate or of a lower caliber in that game do you?
  11. It is really tough to argue that our '95 team isn't the best team of all time. The way we dominated that "fast" SEC defense and ate Danny Warfell's lunch, it is tough to say any other team would even hold a candle to us. tOSU Fans are just dreamers.
  12. After the game in an interview, I remember Ganz saying Turner had dropped one in practice and so he vowed never to throw to him again. But he was just too open. So he went for the score.
  13. Com'on its not like we are counting chickens. We need something to talk about while we wait for the season to start. Good for Blaine, hope he has a stellar year in Ballwin MO then waves goodbye to that state until 2 seasons from now.
  14. Favorite trick play of last season would probably have to be the fake punt vs. USC. Even though it turned out to be unfruitful it was an amazing boost of energy right at the beginning of the game!
