  1. He and Terrence Nunn will be missed next year no matter who the coach is. TN just kept performing, but you never heard a word about him. Didn't he finish up second on the career receiving list behind Johnny Rodgers?? They will be a nice addition to any team in the NFL. They helped establish a new tradition at receiver for us. And to think we still have some halfway decent depth at receiver for next year!!!
  2. Solich's demise was announced on Saturday Night, but that was done by Pederson. I don't think that Tom will drop that bomb like Big Stevie did...

  4. I think that any official announcement won't come until Sunday or Monday. Dr. Tom (out of respect) will give the coaching staff the chance to brace themselves for the media onslaught and other important decisions that they have to make concerning their families and such. That doesn't mean I won't have the TV programmed to ESPN tomorrow for any word!!!
  5. Here is my issue. MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AT HALFTIME!!! Don't go into the second half thinking that everything that worked in the first half is going to go the same for the second half and that the other team isn't going to adjust their scheme. Don't get me wrong. One (maybe 2) of the picks in the second half were on the receivers, but you now have a quarterback that has the ability to roll out and bring the ball down and take off so exploit that instead of coming out and trying to put up huge numbers through the air. YOU have a lead, so run the ball a little bit instead of just airing it out trying to justify your existence. I was a BC guy when they hired him because I didn't think that Frank had the Head Coach tag for a program like Nebraska, but I think that he hasn't forced his coordinators to adjust to the issues that have occurred this year. The OC that we have now has a lot of potential, but (I hate to say this) Cosgrove has fallen behind. There has to be some kind of change...don't know if canning Bill is the right move, but something has to happen. I would hate to be Dr. Tom right now. Knowing how much he cares about people will make this a very hard decision for him, but as usual I am sure that he will make the right one. The best thing about it is that we don't have a AD that is worried about HIS agenda in making this decision unlike what we went through 4 years ago. Hopefully tomorrow will represent a new day in the FUTURE of the HUSKER NATION and that the TRUE HUSKER fans will represent the program and support the team in the upcoming season...
  6. The first touchdown by the Peterson kid didn't look like they were just letting us waltz in to the end zone. He had to fight to get in.
  7. Just read this. Anyone's thoughts? http://cfn.scout.com/2/650895.html
  8. I will be leaving the poker game that I am attending "early". Game starts at 2am on Sunday so I plan on making a point of at least watching the first half in its' entirety. I only wish I could be there, but will be there in spirit.

    Keep it RED

Hey Jarred. Nice tribute to Va Tech. I have a buddy that is from that area. Can I steal that and send it to him?

    Keep it RED

Have to agree about the Penn State fans. That was pretty cool. Of course I think all that they showed on tv was the student section. Wonder what the rest of the stadium looked like.
  11. I would think part of the reason for the sock is to protect the tats from the sun....don't know how much color is in them, but the more that you can keep them protected the longer they will last. I read that article too, seems to me like he is trying to "start over" and has a pretty good head on his shoulders. Didn't know alot about his past at ASU, but he seems to be fitting in as a Husker so far.

    Keep it RED

It was awesome when they showed that overhead shot during the game yesterday of the Nebraska-Notre Dame game from 2000. The Sea of Red on the road...AWESOME!!!
  13. They should be chanting that Bosnian kids name. How awesome has he been so far?
  14. I noticed it during the Wake game too. Does anyone else think that his motion kind of looks a little bit like a young(er) Brett Favre?
