  1. You are a moron. Osborne has an open door policy, and if you know so much, go talk with him. Go tell him how to do his job. Go ahead, he'll be waiting.
  2. Wow, and you know this how? If Miles intended to fire Bo, then Les is as stupid as everybody in Oklahoma thought he is. Bo is the force behind that teams coaching staff. Miles was barely .500 at OSU and he couldn't help but win at LSU because Saben built the program. You guys need to have more faith in TO. He knows what he is doing better than ANYBODY else.
  3. For what it is worth, I have been saying the same thing. Hopefully, someone can clip this and put it on their refridgerator and tell me I am wrong after the 2010 season. I really hope I am. i cant believe his stock is any hotter now than it was a the end of last season. He will do some good things out of the gate, no doubt. Both you guys are something else, what you're pissed because you weren't consulted? Bo , may not be the answer, but I can almost guarantee you will see heart and effort returned to this program anways it says alot about a man that was treated the way he was, to want to come back and work at this university. Especially since he's not an alumnus of NU. You guys are probably the ones that wanted the previous staff to have more time, so the program could be completely drained of any honor and tradition. Tom Osborne is not perfect either, but he's a man of integrity and honor, and a man of his word. these are character traits that have long been forgotten by most people today. Very good post Vol-Husker. These are the clowns that keep me from reading too much on these message boards. I see a bright future in a CROW vending machine in the near future. What do you say, what to partner up on this investment?
  4. I hope MU wins it all. I really don't think they have a dynasty down there and NU can still recruit anywhere they want. If MU wins the MNC, just think about how good the BIG 12 and most importantly the BIG 12 NORTH looks. Then next year when we WAX them in Lincoln, Bo will have his first of many big wins. I don't buy the whole "hurts recruiting" BS. The better our Conference competition is, the better we are.
  5. THAT is what I've been saying... Too bad it has only happened once in TEN years.
  6. And EMOTION was removed too. When Jason Peter was finally able to attend practices after TO came back, he said two guys got into it with each other and one (or both) were suspended a game. JP said they got into it EVERY DAY.
  7. I think the Husker Offense outscores the Buffs. That is why we will win. Question for the Buffs on the board: What is your impression of Hawkins? Is he golden (no pun intended) or does he have his fair share of critics? I am not impressed with him at all. And starting his Freshman son at QB smells a little, but I don't know the inside story.
  8. BB, Callahan coached since the 2004 season. We played OU in 2004 and 2005 regular seasons. If the cycle hasn't become obvious to you yet, each BIG 12 team from the North will play each team from the South, two years on and two years off. Hope that helps...
  9. Are you saying that based on skill or on Berringer's untimely death? If it's his death then that goes without saying, but if you're basing it on the skills of both, I think there's a pretty good argument to be made in favor of Berringer. On skills. I really don't think Berringer was that great. Like I said, I think he was a great back-up and an adequate starter. I'm sure he would have been drafted in the late rounds or picked up as a free agent, but I really doubt that he would have ever made an NFL roster. I think he was a great person, but that and his untimely death have seemed to amplify his rather average skills. Actually, Berringer was pegged as a mid 3rd round draft pick. It's all up to speculation at this point however if he would have been a 3rd or 4th round draft pick. The biggest strike against him was having tennis elbow. He never would have been able to throw 30+ passes a game. You may think he was just adequate, but if you compare him to all of the Husker QB's through the years he'd definitely be in the top 5 here. You can't just take away from his skills because he played at the same time as Tommie. Statistically speaking, Jamal Lord was very good here. I'd take 10 Berringer's to one Lord any day of the week. I think some of you guys can put up a pretty good argument with a rock, if given the chance. Watch some games and look at his numbers. He was an excellent QB and a heck of a competitor. He was about as classy an individual as you will ever see play for Nebraska.
  10. Bottom Line.. He will be fired after the CU game.. IMO.. If TO had any thoughts of keeping BC, he would be rallying around BC and saying --hey fans this is our coach.. Bill is the coach and everyone should support him.. All that keeps being said is, we will evaluate.. etc.. You know what? You're absolutely right. If Callahan was staying, Osborne would surely have helped him out by giving him a show of support. He hasn't, though, even though Callahan desperately needs it. Someone of Osborne's high moral sense wouldn't leave leave Callahan out to dry so long. I don't know if Osborne even publicly congratulated the team after KSU. It seems as if Osborne is avoiding the coaching staff. Now I'd have to say that Callahan is gone, especially after KSU. If he was staying, Osborne would have surely come to his aid. Don't you think? Why does everyone speculate so much? Why would Osborne have to come to his aid? Callahan is the coach. Im smart enough to figure that out without Osborne telling me. If Osborne rallied around BC the suicide rate in Nebraska would jump 100%. I thought Freemason9 stopped coming back to this board.
  11. Coz had 4 down linemen leave for the Pros, off one team, and we were ranked 26th? That is pitiful. What would it take for Coz to have a top TEN ranked Defense, Hire a pro team? He either is a horrible coach (yes) OR, he can't develop talent (yes). When we hired him, I noticed he had the 55th (or so) ranked D at Wisconsin. He took ours to that level and except for last year (26th with 4 NFL Players), he has been at or below 55th. That isn't how the Blackshirts operate. I wonder if the former Blackshirts and coaches are insulted when he wears his Black Shirt on the sidelines during games. (I would be)
  12. But at least we didn't get blown out Well, if "A Win's a Win", (i.e Ball State), then a loss is a loss. I don't think "Moral Victory" is in my Husker dictionary. Let me check....... no it's not there.
  13. I'll bet Colt McCoy will need some pain relievers tonight. Poor kid was pounded today. I haven't seen our D do that in a while. It was good to see some smiles on the sidelines (for a while at least). Did you notice the HUGH smile Callahan had when he shook Mack's hand after the game? It looked like he won the NC or something.
