this is also unconfirmed but here is the story that i have heard BP head coach. TG is OC LSU linbackers coach is DC marvin sanders is back as secondary coach. again take it for what it is worth. I think that it is also solid and has come from two different sources. most probably wont believe until actual confirmation but disect this one. makes some sense if this does happen.

since this is rumorville. i have heard it from two different sources that it will be annouced to the team tomorrow that it is pelini. from the information that i have heard, he nailed his interview and that was that. the real question now becomes the staff. any thoughts? assuming that pelini is in (which is about a 99.9% lock) his brother carl, maybe marvin sanders but after that i couldnt guess who else would be part of the staff.

i just really hope the coaching staff moves him out of the backfield and gets him into open space. i dont thing he can be the everydown back up the middle. he has great hands and the moves but not the toughness to go between the tackles. IMO that job should go to castille. i agree he could elevate his draft status if he comes back and gets another year under his belt. i am sure his decision will hinge on the new coach and OC.

one other thing. the reason that you have not seen BC resign... If he does his assistants lose some pretty big money so he will not hang them out to dry.

they are gone for sure. not a rumor but a fact. within a couple of days of TO being hired he had a meeting and said if you won out then maybe, win two or three and some might stay. otherwise you are all gone. secondly when you think about it, TO did not come in just to come in and give his approval. Sure husker nation was in an uproar (which we probably need to tone it down so as not to drive potential coaches away) but they did not bring him in to sing and dance. he was brought in to change the culture and the leadership in the north stadium.

even if he wanted to leave the NFL i dont think that he would with TO in place. I am still guessing that there are some hard feelings when TO got picked to lead the huskers over Kiffin. I know that he is a husker for life but this is just my opinion

I think that it makes total sense to encourage BC to "resign". that way the recruits know that there are going to be changes. if they want to leave fine, i only want players that want to be here. If you have the right coach the number of stars the guys doesnt mean squat. that is supposed to the be the coaches job - take a player and get everything out of him. i would take a two star who gives his absolute all than a five star premadonna (aka marlon lucky - who by the way just needs to hit the hole hard). the other thing that it does is it allows us to offically start contacting people to fill the spot. just my thoughts
