Well guys,
To tell you the truth:
You guys saw an impressive Freshman come in late and move the ball down the field for us in last years game. However, the guy that came in after you gave our starter his 4th and final concusion of his career, will be the starter this year. He is a very talented player, even though he went 2 for 17 or something and fumbled 3 or 4 snaps in that game. It was a bad experience for him, but he settled in to become a solid QB winning 6 in a row for us, earning our 4th Conference championship and a trip to the Liberty Bowl. Hes kinda like a young Brett Favre, in that he has an oustanding arm, but is very unpredictable. We'll see how he develops. On defense, we lost a lot of starters, 4 to the NFL. We are young and inexperienced, but do have some talent. This is a rebuilding year for us, but do have 9 starters returning on offense, which we dont know if thats good or bad.lol We should be ok, but we'll see. Nothing like being tested early with games at Nebraska and Cal at home. C-USA will have its most competitve year since its inception in 1996. Louisville, TCU, Memphis, UAB, Houston, Cincy, South FLorida, including us, all have a great shot a winning the title. As for us, I think we will be looking at a 6-5 season, with losses to Neb., Cal, Alabama, Memphis, and TCU. And thats if we play good. Hope that helps, and hope you guys have a great season. By the way, your fans are the best. They showed true class down in Hattiesburg, and were nothing but nice when we came to Lincoln in 99. We wish nothing but the best for Nebraska Football.
