  1. Trying to find a life in Hawkeye/Cyclone country is obviously depressing for you, "huskerhater"...Enough to the point you have to look to the west to this great state to show your true jealousy of how we love our Huskers!
  2. I'm a lifelong fan of the Cornhuskers and always will be, even as unpopular as it might be in other places. I'm thankful we have radio and television coverage but feel for my brother who lives in the heart of Big 10 Country...Wisconsin. Nevertheless, when we get together, we finds a good sportsbar and satellite where we've met some other great Husker fans.... 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Thanksgiving 1971 2) What/who led you to The Nation? Loving sports, especially football, as a child, and realizing that I lived in a pretty special state that took their football seriously. 3) Where are you from originally? Bridgeport, NE 4) Where do you live now? Sioux Falls, SD 5) Favorite Husker memory? So many memories...Driving through OK with my family up from Arkanas after Thanksgiving in 1971 after beating Oklahoma and having signs in our car window indicating "Nebraska Cornhuskers Are #1", Making the trek to South Bend, IN and buying scalped tickets to watch our Huskers beat Notre Dame in overtime with an Eric Crouch run into the NW end zone. Meeting Dr. Tom for the first time and visiting with him awhile. 6) Worst Husker memory? Gathering the entire family around our new big screen television several Thanksgivings ago to watch Colorado (of all teams!) annihilate our Huskers, 62-24, and the end of the Frank Solich era..and into more dark ages with Bill Callahan. 7) Number of home games attended? 25 or 30, I'd guess. 8) Number of away games attended? 3 or 4 (the 1986 Fiesta Bowl against Michigan was a tough one by the end!). 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Coasters of old stadium turf from the early 1980's, "Sea of Red" picture of a red-clad Notre Dame stadium. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Home with family or in a place with educated fans who have a healthy respect for Nebraska. 11) Favorite all time player? That's a tough one. Johnny Rogers has always been one of my favorite. I also like Vince Ferragomo, Rick Berns, Tommie Frazier, Grant Wistrom, Ahman Green.... 12) WCO or Option? Still an option die-hard, but mixing in a little bit of West Coast that isn't out of control is fine. 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Probably Billy...he didn't completely dismantle the tradition that Stevie did. 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? The old Herbie Husker was my favorite. Lil is just an over-sized, over-hyped balloon for comic relief. 15) Favorite Husker play? John Ruud KO'ing a Sooner on the kickoff in the late 70's in Lincoln...a classic for the ages! 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Diet Coke or Dew 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) Pure luck...True Husker fans will find it eventually!
