  1. What's the old saying "there's no such thing as bad advertising"? While that might be paraphrasing, the fact remains that it's always good to see the Huskers in the national spotlight. As long as they aren't portraying us as country bumpkins and hayseeds I say bring it on!
  2. Lucky's more premedidated in his running style IMO. Helu can take very little and make something out of it. Would love to see them both in the backfield on Jan. 1
  3. You sure you're on the right board Dog? Yes, it wasn't a particularly well played game but aside from a couple of boneheaded calls by our staff and some bad luck we looked pretty good. The clincher for me (aside from the last 2 minutes of the game) was the fact that unlike the last few years teams, this time the Huskers didn't give up. They've shown that grit all season and for the most part, this was the same team we had on the field last year. Give credit where credit is due. I'd rather win an ugly game than lose a pretty one!
  4. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 32 years. Wasn't a fan until I started attending as an undergrad in 1976. 2) What/who led you to The Nation? All my classmates and buddies from school. 3) Where are you from originally? Rapid City, SD 4) Where do you live now? Rockville, MD (just outside of Washington, DC) 5) Favorite Husker memory? The 1995 Orange bowl come from behind win-watching Warren Sapp's tongue dragging the ground as he shuffled back to the UM huddle in the 2nd half. 6) Worst Husker memory? Attending the 0-19 shellacking by ASU 7) Number of home games attended? Probably about 35-most during my years in Lincoln as a student. 8) Number of away games attended? 10+ 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? where do I start? Probably a jersey worn in the '88 Fiesta Bowl I bought from some random dude that worked for the Fiesta Bowl Committee. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) My friend Matt's place 11) Favorite all time player? Tommie Frazier-Word! 12) WCO or Option? Whatever wins games 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Bill Byrne-SP was a traitor in my opinion. 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Herbie Husker---Lil Red is freaky and he scares me! 15) Favorite Husker play? Schlesinger (sp?) rumbling for the TD in the Orange Bowl. 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Beerskis dude! 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) luck of the draw I guess!
  5. The way we played today (minus a couple of long plays) makes me think the Buffs are in for a very long afternoon the day after Thanksgiving. Looks like giving the defense their Blackshirts worked-they played insipred today. BTW, first post on this board. Wanted to say hi to all. GBR!!
