  1. I know there is or was a radio station in NWA that brodcasts the Husker games, I think it was in or near Siloam Springs. Happened to be in NWA this past weekend for my 20 year reunion, got a little bit of flack for my husker hat, but not nearly as much as a classmate with a texas hat.
  2. It aint over till Oprah sings Word on other boards is that his JC coach and his JC teammate "the beast" are still steering him to NU as he did NOT join UW and Slick Ty this spring as expected.
  3. so you are in Cyclone land eh? hehe I recall we always scheduled them for homecomming in FB and they us in BB for a sure fire win
  4. My 20 year ( OMG ACK !) reunion is this fall, I am hoping to get down there early and see my beloved dawgs and possibly run up to Rogers , see this beast in person.
  5. Awesome to see so many recruits from NWA, you seen any of them play AR?
  6. Mustain would be an awesome pickup (being from my hometown, has no bearing on that opinon ) but I would have a hard time seeing it happen. But as long as we are making our Christmas list, I'll ask for all of the "Fab 5"
  7. Being a long time Husker fan who grew up not living in nebraska. THIS is exactly what I see and loathe in husker "fans". If you are a fan be a fan in the good times and the bad. You do NOT have to agree with everything the HC or AD does, but you b*tching accomplishing absolutely nothing, well nothing positive> to quote Jim Rose (A first for me) "this doesnt mean you can't be skeptical, just not cynical" . For those who don't think being constanly negative on chat boards, I grew up in NW Arkansas, I still keep in touch with a few of my old buds there. I spoke to one a few months ago, he told me of an incredible wide out who was being recruited by NU, this kids comment was that the fans of NU seem to be way to fickle for him.
  8. You cannot teach this kind of toughness. You either got it or you don't. Quite true, a teenager working out with a S.E.A.L. = toughness in my book. I truly think Souder will be THE sleeper of this class, akin to Clint Finley coming from the unknown to knocking people out.
  9. Ross, Mann, Bradley and Bullocks with Rigoni as ST Cpt
  10. 1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)? SPEED !!! This kid may have the most raw speed of anyone to don the Husker scarlet and cream ever. Great feet and vision as well.
  11. Personally I would love to see him at SS if he gains a little bit of speed. One thing I believe we have been missing is a Saftey who will knock a wideout out of his cleats. That is my only knock against the Bullock brothers. We havent seen a Ronnie Lott/Rodney Harrison type safety since Mike Brown. No matter what anyone says a hitter like that does indeed make a difference, both in the run and pass game. Wideouts can talk all the smack they like, but you can rest assured they know exactly where a hitter like Mike B or Ronnie Lott is on the field, and the do think about that.
  12. I think Ryon Bingham, Patrick Kabongo, Trevor Johnson along with Demorio certainly is one of the primary causes to the defenses failings last year. Our D-line was unable to get pressure up front and our LBs were too slow to make the plays D-Williams and Holloway made
  13. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Ummm what time is it? 8:39 am, so approximately 2 mins. Actually I had a puppy named after Joe Orduna when I was 1 yr old, so I guess that makes 36 yrs 2) What/who led you to The Nation? Recruiting season, the Nation had great insight on recruits. 3) Where are you from originally? Springdale Arkansas 4) Where do you live now? Gibbon Nebraska (13 miles west of Kearney) 5) Favorite Husker memory? Tommie Fraizers run against the Gators ( top 3 play of all time against the HATED Gators) 6) Worst Husker memory? Watching the fans make fools of themselves, arguing about who did what to whom, and who should or shouldnt be in this spot. Sad really. 7) Number of home games attended? 5 8) Number of away games attended? 1 (OSU vs NU) LP ran like a madman game was over in the 1st quarter. 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Ball signed by the 94 Team 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) on my couch (the bar wont let me throw pillows at the refs) 11) Favorite all time player? Mike Brown or Mike Minter Toss up 12) WCO or Option? WCO 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? SP ( Byrne IMHO is a merc.) 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? HERBIE !! 15) Favorite Husker play? Beck-Lucky-L.Jackson to Brooks Flea Flicker 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Coke ( never drank a liter of coke and woke up in jail) 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) Tom Lemmings Recruiting
