  1. I wouldn't join the Big East right now if they invited my intramural team. And it has nothing to do with how I would finish in their standings.
  2. I don't post here a lot, but I check in on occasion, and I know I'm going to be in the minority on this one. Just out of curiosity, how old are you guys that are complaining about their students? Maybe I just have a different perspective on it being a little younger, I'm not sure. I could be wrong. My brother and I met up with some friends that went to Wisconsin and had a pretty nice tailgate. We were warned beforehand that the crowd would be hostile, so I was prepared for the worst. However, nothing really happened. Yes, we got called aholes...a lot...and "go home Nebraska sucks," but at the end of the day, it's all words. Who cares? I still had a great time despite the score. We went to one of their friend's places for a little get together after the game and never had a problem there. There was some trash talk, but I would expect that. We just fired back and everyone had a real good time, just like that Dr. Pepper commercial. I thought that place was rocking, and I'll definately go back. Those of you that won't, I'm not sure they care - just one more seat for a Badger fan (or a cheaper ticket for me). I've been a lifelong Husker, but I went to school at Kansas State and sat in the student section both times Nebraska was there (wearing red, of course). I don't know, maybe I was expecting something more like that. All I know is, in Madison, I wasn't spit on one time and I never had anything thrown at me. I know that a lot of Nebraska fans pride themselves on how nice everyone says we treat opposing fans, but I don't go to road games expecting that in return. Especially from students. Maybe it's a generational thing. I feel like some of you should probably not make the trip to Columbus next year. I also don't understand how someone can trash talk a fan of a team that just put that kind of beating on your team. Especially about their loss in last year's ROSE BOWL. After we lost in The Holiday Bowl. To Washington. Bye weeks suck.
  3. I would rather you score a touchdown on me than start taking knees.
  4. I back the Big XII in non-conference games. As far as conference games go, it depends on the North standings. Although I do root for Kansas State when they aren't playing the Huskers, as I do go to school there.
  5. lol, know the feeling. I'm pretty pumped for this game. I try not to be too overly optimistic most of the time, but I really think we have a shot. As for the title of the topic, there is an interesting breakdown of some numbers on hokiesports.com http://www.hokiesports.com/football/notes/20090919.pdf
  6. We're two weeks into the season; these polls don't mean anything. Personally, I'd rather be ranked in December and January.
  7. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? I'd say since I was born 23 years ago, but the first game I can remember watching was the '93 Orange Bowl. 2) What/who led you to The Nation? Born into it. Thanks, Dad. 3) Where are you from originally? Topeka, KS 4) Where do you live now? I attend Kansas State in Manhattan, KS 5) Favorite Husker memory? Davison '97 6) Worst Husker memory? Probably '01 Colorado 7) Number of home games attended? My grandma has season tickets, so once a year since I was around 9 years old. I'll go with 13. 8) Number of away games attended? 4 - 2 at Kansas, 2 at Kansas State 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Not really mine, but my dad has a helmet signed by the '99 team 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) The only place I've ever seen a game in person is the North Endzone 11) Favorite all time player? Mike Brown 12) WCO or Option? The option 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? I actually like Lil' Red. The KSU student section...doesn't, so he gets my vote 15) Favorite Husker play? Any that involves drilling a quarterback 16) Favorite game-day beverage? I like Crown and Coke, but usually go with Bud Light at tail gates 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) ha! - KSUFans.com
