  1. YES...thank you...Tmart played well...but we also played WESTERN KENTUCKY who didn't win a game last year. Lets see how he fairs in two weeks on the road at Washington. Don't get me wrong...he looked VERY good yesterday but will he have the poise? Zach Lee has been through it ALL...and I find it hard to believe that Tmart would have as much poise as Zach Lee in a pressure situation...just sayin...but time will tell! All in all...a good opener for us...I hope our defense gets its sh#t together though...WOW...I was not impressed.
  2. WOW...this is unreal to see on paper!!! lets hope it doesn't get too out of hand tomorrow!!
  3. This is a great topic...thank you for putting it up. I was JUST back in Nebraska for a wedding last weekend...the reception was over and we were still putting a few back with my buddies and his cousins...from Iowa. We started talking about college football...it was like we were talking to a completely different guy! He was BASHING Nebraska football...heres the thing...right now...both of our teams are in the top ten and are pretty equal...however...i can see iowa dropping off quickly. If this happens...the rivalry will die quickly. To add...I've been to Iowa City several times before...GREAT town...GREAT atmosphere and I agree with the others...NOBODY can me as horrible as the CU fans...i live with one out here in long beach, california and i'll vouch for that any day! At any rate...I'm stoked...gonna be a great road game for us in a couple years to go to!
  4. Well one...yes of course its about the money but its also about respect. Nebraska was getting pushed around by Texas and the southern schools in the Big 12 and we were tired of it. There was also concern of instability in the conference BECAUSE of Texas...they're really the ones that started it all. Tom Osborne made a statement in an espn.com article saying that there was no way of telling that Texas wouldn't try to do the same thing in a couple of years...in the end its about survival and the preservation of a football dynasty. Nebraska is and will forever will be one of the greatest college football programs in the country and we should be treated like it. With all of this said...I can understand where the reporter is coming from A LITTLE BIT at the end of article talking about rivalries being broken and whatnot...I felt the same way when we first found out that Nebraska was leaving the Big 12. But all good things must come to an end....AND...we can see already that there will be AWESOME new rivalries coming next year.
  5. DANGIT!!!! i actually be IN nebraska for this one but let me know if you throw a party for any other games and i'll bring a crowd with me!
  6. welcome to the board! i'm a fairly new member myselft and i think you'll really enjoy the insight you get on here....unfortunately i can't help you out with where to park but if you're looking for a tailgate when the game comes...hit me up! i have a few that i go to and we'd love to have you there! GBR!
  7. i'll be honest...not that impressed with the demo reel BUT...like previous posts...looks like he could be a solid back for nebraska....he's not that big tho for a linebacker...maybe outside linebacker i guess but he'd have to get bigger...i didn't like his demeanor after every tackle though....get the tackle and go back to the huddle...he'll learn that when he gets to nebraska!
  8. WOW...strength of schedule DEFINITELY is going up for us...i'm excited for ohio state to come our way!
  9. totally the right call...the NCAA has had a tough offseason but I applaud them...here's the deal...there's a sanctity about college sports...thats why people love it....there's no BS. its just guys that LOVE to play the game trying to win every game and putting their heart and soul out there. now while they're doing that...while they're being nationally-televised and becoming role models for kids all around the country, the NCAA is making sure they keep their stuff together and respect the fact that the only reason the players are getting these opportunities is because of the NCAA...good job NCAA for keeping college football classy and legit.
  10. Your argument then would mean every playoff system out there be it NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA Basketball, etc are "dumb". agreed...this is what playoffs/championship games and getting better during the season are for....it measures a team...if you're deserving of something greater...you'll win when it counts
