  1. MSU is starting to put the hammer down on DRob and MU, they have done a great job of containing him/limiting his damage. Which brings up the point of how we fair against the 1st really salty D we will play next week, DRob was all the rage until he faced a tough D. So next week we will learn a lot about T-Magic and our O. My guess is Wats has a lot in store for UT that we haven't seen yet and we come a way with a big win, but then I've been accused of drinking Kool Aid, but who cares it tastes good and the Huskers are looking good and I truly believe Martinez is the real deal/something special.
  2. Depends on how they look if they lose. I think if the game stays like it is now, Bama will drop to 7 or 8. If they game is close, 4 or 5. Michigan 23 or 24. The loss would drop Bama below both us and OU at least, too many good undefeated teams and anyone who stays undefeated in a BCS AQ conf in the top 10 plus Boise St and TCU should be a ahead of them.
  3. I see you are a newer poster so I hope I didn't offend you, but when you put posts on a message board you shouldn't become so defensive about other opinion and posts. You'll wind up bitter. I'm not bitter and I have thousands of post on other Husker boards, read the OP my point was about a very odd situation 1 snap in the red zone and your reply instead of addressing my post was about our weak schedule and you not believing in this team, you took a post that had nothing to do strength of schedule or level of opponents and used the post to rag on our team, looking for a chance to be negative in a post that should have been about Husker history and nostalgia. My reply point was that I don't understand fans that can view an undefeated and top 10 rated team in a negative way, especially after where Callahan took this program to 4 years ago, I understand that you do I just don't understand how you get any enjoyment out of being a Husker fan if your view of this years team in a negative fashion.
  4. If I'm drinking Kool Aid so are the voters in both the coaches pole and the writers pole, as a life long Husker fan I'm choosing to enjoy this season and believe it can be special. If you don't want to enjoy it that is your choice, but being a fan is much more fun when you have a positive view of your team, try it you might like it.
  5. Through 5 games the Huskers have scored 25 offensive touchdowns coming from an average distance of 33.5 yards out. That is a big play offense regardless of who we have played. My point was not about the competition it's about the fact we only had the ball in side the KSU 20 for 1 play all game, we've played a lot worse teams over the years than this KSU team, find a game where we only had on snap in the Red Zone, I've been an avid fan for over 40 years and can't remember that ever happening that's it. Sorry if that fact needs to make you take a negative "glass is half empty" approach to viewing the Huskers, take it from me the glass is a lot more than half full, it's been 9 years since we've been ranked this high or been this good. Enjoy the ride, I sure am!
  6. If I'm not mistaken the Huskers only snapped the ball one time in the Red Zone against KSU and that play resulted in the first touchdown of the game, Taylor Martinez' 14 yard run. I cannot ever remember a win where we only had 1 snap in the Red Zone let alone a blow out win! Pretty cool!
  7. Dude, Change your avatar or go post on the Mizzou boards
  8. It's pretty simple, the job belongs to T-Magic until something goes wrong, bad play, in jury whatever. If TM doesn't mess up the job is his if he struggles and we need a change and Cody comes in an rallies the team, then this will get interesting or should I say more interesting real fast. I don't think it has to happen before the Washington game, remember Turner Gill and Tommie Frazier didn't take over the starting job until we were in Big 8 play and Bo is not going to stay with someone who only proved himself against WKU and Idaho if things don't keep going well, he has options, which we should all be thankful for.
  9. And I will deem him a Crouch Clone when his completion percentage drops below 45% and he starts throwing balls into the ground 10 yards in front of wide open receivers in the flat.
  10. How could you put VY in front of Frazier? Regardless of your allegiance to Husker Nation, Frazier >>>> Vince Young. That's fine if you think so, but I don't. One more national championship is certainly a big deal and deserves recognition, but that's really the only edge I give to Tommie Frazier (don't get me wrong, I love the guy). Vince Young had ~1000 more career rushing yards, 2,000 more career passing yards, a better win-loss percentage as a starter, in addition to being a hell of a better passer. He also did this with an incompetent gameday coaching staff and far less talent (could be used as an argument against by saying it inflated his stats being the whole team, or for by saying that he had to work that much harder). Just my opinion. I look at players as objectively as I can when I measure how good they were compared to others, and whether they played for Nebraska has nothing to do with that. Dude Tommie lost 3 games in his career 2 as a Freshman one on a severely sprained ankle when the team had come down with a huge case of the flu against ISU and one to FSU in the Orange Bowl, then one again to MNC FSU in the Orange Bowl as a Sophomore where NU was clearly screwed by terrible calls, Mark Wicker the respected sports writer from the Orange County Register in CA said after Tommie and the Huskers went undefeated for their 2nd straight National Championship in January of 1996 "it should be a 3 peat, they'll find Jimmy Hoffa and a cure for the common cold before they find that clip on the punt return in the 1994 Orange Bowl" Repeating as Nat'l Champs is all that needs to be said, it's happened 3 times in the last 40 years and only once in the last 30. Vince Young is not in that class, IMHO.
