  1. It is a trend that needs to be broken. Like many have said before, if we had any semblance of an offense last year, we play for the National Championship. If we had an offense that wasn't built around one player (and a questionably injury prone player at that) this year, we would be playing in a BCS bowl in a month. The fact that our offense has no identity and Watson cops out behind "We're multiple" every time he's asked about it is infuriating. Something definitely needs to be done. Whether it's letting Watson go to find a new OC or straightening him out. I mean, with T.O. at his disposal (a great offensive mind), you would think he could figure something out by now...
  2. Yeah true. What are the chances of Carnes seeing game time next year? Ziebol.... Must say, unbelievably kick ass sig picture and quote. LOVE IT!
  3. I had my first in-person Big 12 Championship experience tonight and I gotta say it was one for the ages. I'm sad that the Big Red lost. I, like most on this board, was hoping we could take that last Big XII championship trophy and spit in the face of Dan Beebe on the way out the door. But it just wasn't in the cards. Cowboy Stadium was absolutely unreal. Probably one of the most amazing pieces of modern architecture I have ever seen in my life. I think I took more pictures of that stadium than I did the entire rest of this trip. If you haven't gone, I absolutely recommend going. Just beautiful. Now I'm not going to get into the whole fire Watson topic, because that's raging like a wildfire already through the board, but I just wanted to express my thoughts on how thankful I am that the last game we play in the Big XII was against Oklahoma. The tradition and respect of a past rivalry that was revived through this game was so refreshing. Over the years of the Big XII, us Cornhuskers have been filled with so much animosity for both the conference and certain schools (ahem... UT anyone?) that I don't know about the rest of you, but I had forgotten what it was like to watch a game between two programs that truly respect each other. I was reminded tonight what that was like. During the game, both fan bases raged, but I saw no confrontations and nothing but smiles on both sides during much of the game. One thing that caught me off guard was the number of Sooner fans who were genuinely upset that Nebraska is leaving the Big XII and hope that we are successful in the Big Ten. I spoke with many Sooner fans who enjoy our program and feel a lot of love for Husker Nation, it was a very awesome surprise. I guess the point of this thread was just to let everyone know that while I will most definitely NOT miss the Big XII, Oklahoma will always hold a special place in my heart and hopefully we can meet them from time to time on the gridiron! Everyone saw the game, and I'm sure once you look at it objectively, you'll realize what a classic it was. Big plays, a comeback, strong defense, and drama. To be completely honest, I felt that way immediately after the game and stayed for the trophy presentation and long after. Even in the loss, I know our boys fought hard and can hold their heads up high. GO BIG RED!
  4. Just got back from breakfast at our hotel. Lobby full of husker fans. One little group of Sooners looked quite out of place. GBR!
  5. Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster here. Always love reading the board. I'm actually in Arlington right now, where is this Humperdink's restaurant? I definitely want to check out that scene.
