This pretty much sums it up. Factor in an injured QB, an inept OC, & drama surrounding Nebraska's move to the Big Ten, & we still manage to put together a 10 win season.

What's more surprising, & even sweeter, is that the Longwhorns are nowhere to be found. I got so sick of a team who has won a lone National Championship in the last 40 years, be regarded as the "gold standard" in NCAA football.

I still think Martinez's talent is too raw, & that ultimately falls under the coaching jurisdiction. He has the potential to be a great QB as was evident in the first half of the year, but as soon as any defensive coordinater was wise to our scheme...a coach can find it pretty easy to spot the holes in our offense, & make us one-dimensional.

The three bowl games I am especially interested in seeing are Iowa vs. Mizzou, Wisc. vs. TCU & A&M vs. LSU. Also of course, the Aubrun vs. Oregon match-up. I am betting that A&M, Iowa & TCU all lose, & Oregon wears down Auburn by the 4th quarter & pulls ahead.

To be fair, I frequent BR quite often & there are several writers that do a great job. Many times BR just needs some "filler" & they will publish anything to keep it lively. The amount of "Husker fans are whiners" articles this year were at times unbearable though.

I agree with blackshirts5115 in reference to the word should, (and I believe is) "strife" as the definition is: 1. angry or violent struggle; conflict 2. rivalry or contention, esp. of a bitter kind
