Are you saying that the NBA is basketball? Cuz it's definitely not

The playoffs is. I will give it to you, the regular season, only a select few teams play hard

Perhaps Parl was referring to the current trend in basketball to take 3 or more steps in a running fashion towards the basket, complete a reverse tomahawk dunk, and then sign an autograph on a spectator's breast before beginning an obligatory five minute, in-game celebratory mode?

  5. There are many players that play with heart. Just tonight, Dirk Nowitzki played with a torn tendon in his finger and made they game winning shot. Always humble. Always complimenting his teammates. And thats just one example. Derrick Rose is another example of a player with heart. And many more in the NBA. Just have to watch the right players. The truth is, like most things, it goes in cycles. The 00's were the "me" decade, focused on attention, self-centeredness, looking out for yourself and etc. It's gotten to the point where that has come and is starting to go, and the new generation of stars are those breaking the trend and seemingly showing real humility, joy for playing the game and other 'likeable' qualities, and this doesn't just apply to the NBA. Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Suh, Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow, Dwight Howard and others are all testament to this. I disagree about Westbrook. After watching him in the playoffs this year, he is a ballhog and threw a hissy fit and cursed his coach out for taking him out one game against Dallas. 100% agree with Durant. Very down to earth, humble guy. And also the other guys you mentioned. I'm actually glad the NBA is made up of a bunch of whiney ass individuals, makes me appreciate hockey even more Have you been watching these playoff for Hockey. Sticking fingers in people mouth the whole game doesn't come across as "Whiney ass individuals" to you. No one has ever accused Basketball players as being warriors or tough. Hockey has prided itself on it and they look real foolish in these playoffs. The entire NBA isn't made up of whiney individuals. Just a select few, like LeBron James and Dwayne Wade or anyone else that plays like they do. I swear that everytime, every single time LeBron James or Dwayne Wade turn the ball over on offense or take a really bad shot and miss it, the commentators of the game say, "Wade/LeBron thought he got fouled on the play." I am extremely glad Dwayne Wade got a little hip injury in game 5 because if you watch the play he got injured he totally deserved it. Look at the flop he puts on just so its not called a charge on him but a block on Cardinal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIELmrJwc9Y
  6. The only thing LeBron James is best at is playing like crap when the game is on the line, crying and complaining for fouls when he turns the ball over, getting away with traveling calls, and flopping to draw a foul. Best player in the world my ass.

Nice triple double. Did his team win? Did he show up in the 4th qtr when they needed him the most? Oh ok.

@corncraze I'll admit he did rebound well. I'll admit he did get double teamed all game and make simple passes to get 10 assists. But he shot the ball terrible. Oh and don't forget that we're forgetting the most important aspect of the game which is defense. That is where LeBron really choked going -11 when he was on the floor.

  7. The younger generation seems to be more team first. Derrick Rose/Kevin Durant are examples. I hope players like Brandon Knight and Kyrie Erving mold into team first type players. I'm almost certain that they will turn into money first type players. Every year there are more and more players like that.
  8. This is not really the superfight I was looking forward to.
  9. Fisher's clutchness and leadership more than make up for it. And the knicks didn't waste anything. Melo was #3 in scoring this year. And besides they will still get either CP3 or Dwight Howard. I would expect them to get Dwight, seeing how Billups is already at point. Plus, if they get Dwight, the Knicks will have the most dominant inside game in the HISTORY of the NBA with Melo, Stoudemire, and Howard. Clutchness and leadership are nice, but he's still old, and slow... Well if they go after a PG, they better not get rid of Fisher but instead get rid of Steve Blake.

  11. I heard Knicks are going after CP3 I think the knicks are going after both cp3 and Dwight. That way they will most likely get one other superstar to go with melo and stoudemire. As for the lakers i don't think they should go after a PG because Derek Fisher is not the problem. The problem is Andrew Bynum (worthless/classless player), Lamar Odom (douche who cares more about which fragrance he should pick on reality tv instead of the playoffs), and Ron Artest (no description needed because you already know). What the lakers need is a couple of young future nba stars at either the SF, PF, or C positions. After next season they should worry about a PG because Derek Fisher might only have one more productive season in him.
  12. 2.5 k/d ratio in COD Black Ops. Not too bad if I might say.
