Zaire...

Comish

All-Conference
It was only one play, but when Zaire ran down the running back from behind to prevent a first down with a great closing angle, it signaled a world of difference in what the scheme could do with the right athletes in play.

What I liked most is he didn't miss any tackles. Really shows that athletic ability is supreme.

He looked pretty good in the limited plays he made. But I do like his speed, we should use that off the edge in obvious passing downs.

No kidding....that's the type of speed we need......look ark state ran an up tempo offense......I don't think we will see that fast of snaps in the big ten. We have had a lot thrown at us the last three weeks........zone reads......empty backfields.....and sprinting to the line....we should be prepared, only time will telll

zaire did a great job... i hope the coaches can put him in next game as a chance to kinda hone his skills and get him more confident in our scheme before some of these Big 10 games roll around.. plus for next year... would like to utilize this guy for as long as we have hiim

Mentioned it in another thread before I saw this one but didn't he look gimpy? Maybe its the way he runs. Scary how good he could be if he's not quite 100%

I focused in on him with my binoculars for a dozen plays or so through out the game. He had to be told where to line up several times, but once in position it looked like he played with poise, skill and speed. He added to the pile several times when progress had been pretty well stopped...which reminds me of my favorite tagline in here "Find the bastards and pile on!". In other words, he finishes each play. Also, he looked decent to start and looked good by the second half. I'm seeing a big, red future for that young man.

One of my favorite plays from the game. Great play, Zaire!

I for one was not particularly impressed by Anderson today. Outside of the one play for loss, he looked confused and out of position when the plays started. He played the first couple of series and did not go back in again for a long while. Tentative is the word I would use to describe Zaire's play.

Nothing to add at this time...

At least I won't add anything "pro-Nebraska" that gets deleted or edited afterwards by the supposedly "pro-NU" mods/admins on this "site."

He was quite unremarkable yesterday. Mostly because he doesn't have a clue what he'd doing out there. Once he does, he can be really good. He has a lot of potential.

Keep getting him reps Papoopis.

this could describe most of our defense.... we look like a Chinese fire drill most snaps
