Consider What We Have Accomplished

If you're happy and thrilled or pessimistic and have urine-soaked Cheerios, consider this:

Over roughly the last two months, all this team has done is play the six toughest teams in the conference (which is not nearly as bad as it's made to look) back to back...

to back...

to back...

to back...

to back.

And how did that go for us? We lost once. Only once. To the #6 ranked team in the AP poll. There were no breathers, no gimmes, no Iowa State's or Baylor's or bottom dwellers. The six best teams, minus ourselves, in a row. And we only lost once.

I'm damn proud of this team. That is a commendable and impressive accomplishment regardless of what angle you view it from. Way to go boys - I've enjoyed the ride.

I'm very proud of this team. My opinion is that Bo had talented guys the first few years that didn't have the experience in close games to finish. (Both VaTech games, TTech 08, many more) Now we're seeing the less talented guys from the first two recruiting classes that shoot themselves in the foot but have figured out how to finish and play like Warriors. Now we need Santos and the young guys on D that are supposed to be studs play like warriors and we'll have a great team next year and beyond.

Woo you go Landlord! Big Red Nation needs to enjoy this ride we're on for what it is. Better than alot of our expectations for what this season was thought to be. (Not mine, I knew Mich st. was gonna flop and we'd be in the position we are now lol) Now get my sig done! :B)

Yeah, our conf play this year certainly is something to be proud of. Better than nearly anyone expected. Or at least me anyway--I figured we'd drop one game for sure, and more likely drop two games, during this brutal six week stretch. So the one loss is better than I thought we could do. Nice.

Way to go Huskers!

Beat everyone save OSU. Most, myself included thought we would have at least picked up another 1-2 against some of our in conference games. 8-2, not bad at all. Wins have been comebacks against double digit deficits. Shows toughness. Wish the next two we could simply win out with no drama.

I'm thinking the FOUR double-digit SECOND HALF comebacks ought to be generating more national play.. ( I know they mentioned yesterday that the 3 were already the most in the country). For sportswriters allegedly always looking for a new angle, this OUGHT to be enticing copy (especially since the acknowledged format to beat Nebraska is to force them to come from behind and beat you through the air with TMart)

Just imagine the trees that would be sacrificed if this were the Doomers or Urbanites or Duckies pulling this off...................

We just need Stewart Mandel to pick against us, like he has for the last four consecutive weeks.
