No doubt about that either.Barry Switzer says hi too.Never been an OU fan, but Stoops, better than Holtz...Who did Lou Holtz spit on to get listed there?
Everyone he was campaigning to in order to be on the listWho did Lou Holtz spit on to get listed there?
Yeah I put him #1 too.I do agree with that, but the homer in me made a rare appearance and I put T.O. at the top of the list.I don't think anyone was better than Bear, but Dr. Tom should be top 3 at least. I voted him #2.
Gotta get him higher than 4th, that's for sure.
Tom Osborne vs. Nick Saban

This is my problem with putting Saban so high on the list despite his 4 Nattys. Saban fully admitted that he couldn't win at MSU because he couldn't find a way to recruit at the level he wanted, so he jumps ship to a recruiting hotbed LSU. Then because he won at LSU, he figures he can coach anywhere and gets subpar results coaching the Dolphins. So he goes back to college football. Not just anywhere, but a heritage and recruiting rich school to help ensure he'll win.Tom Osborne vs. Nick Saban

Saban didn't learn to coach till he could recruit SEC style.
Lou never took over a team with a winning record nor failed to take them to a bowl in his second year. And that was before there was a godaddy.com hosting 6-6 teams.Holtz is another guy that did little at most stops, but got a Natty at the one school that he was able to inheret quality players. Didn't win much at Ark, Minn, S Carolina, and then bitched that he couldn't recruit players he wanted at ND after winning Natty with the fomer coaches players. That and because he's got great one-liners has kept him employed at ESPN.
