im not sure what or why anyone thought our pitching would be a strong point. like last year our o won many games... looks like it will have to be much of the same this year
I wouldn't draw any conclusions about the offense after 1 game, either. That was the same pitcher who held Nebraska in check in the second game of the doubleheader last year, if I heard correctly. Kubat, Hander and Hirsch were all pretty reliable last season, while Pierce is a little bit inconsistent. Maybe DeLeon can keep his pitches down like coach wants?
