KSU tough defense

KSU's defense has better stats than NU's across the board.

If some KSt fans could give us a bio of the defense that would help.

 
K state fans are buying into JF guarentee of victory. I hope our D has a GREAT game and gets to the QB like the troy game.

 
Get off to a fast start and never look back. This means, scoring more than 7 points in the second half.

I live in the middle mildcat country. And when they were starting to come up in the early 90s, i was halfway happy for them. Then there fans says i hate everything to do with Nebraska football. Still to this day i dont know why, because we were so successful. So KSU is prolly my most hated team, its close between them and the Denver Broncos (im a Chiefs Fan). But idk, it just seems all their fans have a im better than you, so F uck off attitude.

 
I can agree with that! I live in KS as well and the KSU fans are just very very hateful to NE football. I always cheer for the Big 12 no matter what and I have even gone to several KSU games and of course I cheer for them to win when they are not playing NE.. HOWEVER... I have met ONE ksu fan that will actually give ANY credit to the Huskers.. the rest have such strong hate for them... Guess maybe it is because the Huskers have always been "the team to beat" and they have only accomplished this a few times in Football history!!!

 
About those stats -

Baylor runs an offense much like Tech. They don't run the ball well at all.

I think the Louisville and OSU games are pretty indicative of the "vaunted" KSU run defense.

I expect to see a healthy dose of Glenn again this week - also Wilson.

 
but who has ksPOO played really? A Louisville team without their starting QB and RB (both heisman potential)? if Brohm and Bush played in that game, gaystate would had their doors blown off...EASY. Hell, with just one of the two even. I'm not too worried about this game, Freeman is motivation enough for this team. Cally and Co. may deny up and down that Freeman has no part of it, but you can guaren-damn-tee that he will have the Huskers JACKED!!!

 
Looking at some of KSU stats from the OSU game it looks like they had a hell of a time on third down. 2-10 = 20%

They gave up a 100 yd rusher and almost 200 yards for the game.

2 of their scores were in special teams (1 blocked punt, 1 ko return)

Freeman had an ok game, but nothing spectacular. He didn't make any mistakes, and was efficient.
