Strugglin in low A Ball... Bubba's stat line thus far

Obviously very early but I thought some people would enjoy an update.

So he's going to join the team in 2016 and a senior Armstrong and junior Stanton are going to be his backups, even though he won't have played football in four years.

Seems likely.

 
He's struggling now, that doesn't mean he's done with baseball in a couple of years. He may just need to find his timing and swing, he will be fine.

Well Stanton will leave after TA wins the job and TA will head to the NFL after his junior year. Better?

Yep we got a QB controversy in the works. Next year it will be Armstrong against Redshirt Staton

We probably won't recruit a high end QB while those guys are fighting for playing time against each other.

I guess the OP is looking at going back to the future wt Bubba being our high profile recruit once again.

My gut tells me Staton ends up winning the battle.

Yes it is. I apoligize for making it seem like the point of thread was to actually proclaim Bubba would be the starting QB at NU due to his early struggles but that truly wasn't my intent. Just trying to share some info but I botched it.

As speed mentioned, still early and if his 1 st year in professional ball is any indication, he'll be fine.

Even if Starling dropped baseball in a year or two, the guy would then re-open his recruitment and likely head for somewhere that just graduated its starting QB and that didn't have a clear front runner for the job. That makes it unlikely that we would make his top three let alone his final selection. Besides, Nebraska is likely to recruit a third QB for the 2015 class. So that would be TA plus JS plus another guy as scholarship QBs battling it out. Hopefully TA or JS will be the clear NO. 1 at QB following the 2014 season.
