ESPN Big Ten Prime-Time TV Schedule Discussion

Yes FOX is partners with PAC 12 however im not sure about how it works out with away games. If it is a night game on BTN I am going to be livid. No reason why this shouldn't be the main game.

Well it's obvious we arent getting the primetime ABC/ESPN slot, so what would you rather have? The 2:30 slot?

I have a feeling regardless of what network it is on that our game will have a better TV rating then that Purdue-ND game.

Well, I guess I'll be the one to say it. If this means that Herby and Mustyberger are going to be in West Lafayette and not Lincoln, I guess I can deal with it in the long run.

Would Alabama vs A&M be the night game on CBS? I wonder if Wisconsin @ Arizona State would be the night game on Fox?I guess OSU is playing Cal that day as well. I am sure all these won't be night games.

Im also confused as to why Fox can't televise the game? Is that a Pac12 only type of thing?

Fox doesn't have a TV contract with the Big Ten. The reason why Fox televised it last season was because it was a Pac-12 controlled game. This year it's not. It can only be on either ABC, ESPN or BTN this season.

BTN could put the UCLA game on at 7pm. They have some prime time slots as well.

They could but I can't imagine ABC or ESPN passing on this game to air during the day. It's most likely going to be on ABC at 2:30.

I would just as soon have the UCLA game on during the day. Better yet lets have an 11:30 start to the game. It will be only 9:30 on the left coast at that time.

I'll be there too, but, damn it, I wont have to do my 16 sessions of "watch the dvr" throughout the week muted.

I wasnt aware of that. That is quite the lineup. I'm sure that Bama game will probably start at like 4, they always have weird start times. But depending on whether Fox values a top ranked OSU pounding Cal or a more intriguing match up in Wisky ASU will determine who they choose, I'm sure.

Regardless, that is going to be a hell of a weekend for college football.
